Cammie- Okay, so regarding Amanda. This info was on my azithromycin sheet - and they are related meds, so for what it is worth I think that family is one of the more "allergic potential" ones - so the increased dose could have caused a reaction...
" DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it, to other macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin), to ketolide antibiotics (such as telithromycin), or if you are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to erythromycin or any macrolide or ketolide antibiotic. A severe reaction includes a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or dizziness. If you have a question about whether you are allergic to this medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist. IF YOU EXPERIENCE difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or
if you develop a rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more of this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so."
Also consider if anyone who came in contact with her could have had anything different. What about the nurse? Could she have had some perfume or something that Amanda hadn't been around? I hate puzzles like that. Mia has had a measle like rash 3 times. Still have no idea why. Dr. THINKS it could be a peanut allergy, so we avoid nuts like the plague. I hope that she is doing better today!
Debbie & Laura - I dread the first day of school. Nicolas was watching Aladin today in the car and said, "he is going to lie to her. why not tell her the truth? It is so obvious that she loves him and he loves her too!" WTH? He is 4 years old!!!
Trip update: So far, looks like we will be fine. Called them today, and they faired the storm well. SO, just two more sleeps and I'm on the beach!

Now comes the task of packing. I've elected to bring groceries down too, so that is adding to my packing chore, but it should make the grocery stop much shorter.
CT Results: The dr. called me back and he has reviewed the films. He actually thinks things are much better than they wrote in the report. He even commented that it looked like and improvement from the latest x-ray. SO, since I was on artihromycin at the time, he wants to start a 14 day course of another antibiotic (start when I come back) to make sure we knock it out. He thinks the spots are the last of the infections. ALMOST A YEAR to get rid of this thing. At least a dozen antibiotics.
Tammie - I think it was you who asked if he was my dr. during the MRSA thing - yes and no. He actually took the case over when things got bad. He is very good. I'm all about second opinions and uber second guessing my MDs, but I feel at peace with him. That is a very nice feeling to have during things like this. I'm sure he will have me fixed up in no time.
Mia is balking at her nap today. I need her to snooze so I can get to the store today.
Decorating Update: I bought chocolate curtains for our bedroom. I think I love them. I took down the green ones and put them up. I have a white quilt bedding set and dark furniture. I think it really looks nice - and makes our bedroom dark!
