Call me a goof ball, but I see it this way. I have one approaching 40 that is like raising a third child. Maybe that is why I don't get the younger guy thing - but this.... now THIS I get!

Good morning girls! I can't believe Labor Day weekend is here and almost over. Where did the summer go? Before you know it, the holidays will be here. Does anyone else feel that the older you get, the quicker time goes by?

Renee - I hope you're feeling better this weekend. I wouldn't be too worried about what the doctor said, or didn't say. My experiences with doctors is that they are just pessimistic by nature; and in today's lawsuit-happy world, they almost have to be. I have yet to meet the doctor who is 100% reassuring anymore. They always leave that small door open for the slightest chance that something may not go well. I think it's more to cover their a** than anything else. The fact that your CT scan was 92% clear is VERY GOOD; and if he was truly concerned, he wouldn't be waiting until next week to read your film. Just try to stay positive.

And, that George Clooney is one fine looking man. (He does age well!) Too bad, he just doesn't seem to want to commit! As for they younger "eye candy" - it's fun to look and dream of my youth every once in awhile!

Renee- He is a cutie. When I had white spots on my sinus CT it was polyps and I had to have sinus surgury. They do test what they take out for everything. MRSA makes infections harder to go away too it really does a number on your immune system. I think 92% is great and I agree with Cammie not one doctor is going to be 100% on anything.

Cammie- Yes I agree as I have gotten older time does fly it seems like Christmas will be here tomorrow and Luca will be 18 next week. Yeah for you on the girls going back to school you work so hard for Amanda and Lauren that time for yourself (even though it wont really be for yourself) will be great for you. I say go get a massage!

Well I went nutso on the house this weekend. I ripped all of Luca's clothes out of closets drawers etc... and they are now in 6 piles on his floor. I will fold and hang when he wakes up from his nap. Also Bathroom scrubbed on my hands and knees crown molding and baseboards and the kitchen just needs the floors done. I even wiped down the cabinets. I am sick of the house being a mess I use to be such a neat freak before I got pregnant and now I just let everything go to the point you can't see the floor. I am so tired of it being clean one day and then the next UGH!!!! Tonight we are celebrating Mike's 36th birthday because he will be at work tomorrow. Omaha steaks and Ice cream cake way to stick with NS!

Hey Gals!

Ya know - ever since seeing George Clooney on Rosanne years ago, I just don't see it in him. He was so dorky looking then.

As for time flying by? My mom always said, "just wait til you have kids." Then she said, "just wait til they start school." And she's right. I can still remember Ally's first day of kindergarten and that was two years ago. And celebrating my 40th a couple of years ago didn't help much. I did NOT do well with that.....

Hannah now is forecast to move up the east coast of FL and hit anywhere along the east coast up to the Carolinas, depending what she decides to do. Our luck she'll strike here and destroy our new patio enclosure.

Speaking of which, the electricians are hanging out right now waiting for Jeff to get back with the GFI they had him pick up. And of course he didn't read the label, just grabbed it from the bin that was marked correctly, and he got the wrong one. He is livid!!! And we converted the grill from natural gas to LP this morning, but we still need to get another part from an LP gas company on Tuesday, so even though it'll be complete once the electricians leave, he still can't use his new grill. And that is like sticking a big candy bar in front of a kid when they're hungry, and telling them they can't have any. He's been looking at this grill sitting in our garage for 6 months, and he said this is even worse. Poor guy.

So hopefully I'll post pics later on!!!!

Jeff has to work tomorrow so we spent a lot of time in the yard today. I actually cut the grass while he edged, and then I laid 5 bags of mulch while he chatted up the electricians. Lazy butt! But I ran out and got some parrot and flamingo decor for the patio, I think it'll look so fun!

Guess Ally and I will just play tomorrow, probably go to the pool if it doesn't rain, but we're already getting outer bands of Gustav so I don't know how the weather will be tomorrow.

Hiya all....

soooooo glad we didn't come to Florida in August or Sept.... they aren't kidding when they say it's hurricane season , are they!? Hope you are doing OK Kara...

Over here things are feeling positively autumnal - you call it fall?? is that right?? Chilly in the mornings, damp heavy dew on the grass - and slugs and snails - yeeeuuuuuukkkkk - just picked 78 slugs off our front lawn - it is only about 10 foot by 7, so you can see how "infested" it looked!!!!! And flying ants - why do they always pick our grass, not the neighbours....?

Must get back on my diet too - I gained so much weight recently that my clothes are way too tight again... I did the daft thing where I looked at myself in the mirror at the swimming pool changing rooms - big mistake - did NOT like what I saw, so weight watchers here we go (again!!) - I shall have to take inspiration from you lot who are doing well on the weight loss.

I feel your pain Debbie! I'll never forget Lauren's first day of kindergarten....I thought I was ok as I put her on the bus. As I turned to go up the driveway, I couldn't believe how much I started bawling. To make matters worse, the day was 9/11/01 - so it all just went downhill after that! Sucky all around!

Cammie...I will be thinking of your dis friend. Her name seems VERY familiar. To tell you the truth she is either over at that "other" board OR they pick on her over there.

Shut up! I hope that's not true! She's such a nice person; if they are picking on her over there, I need to know! (around here, she posts on the dining board alot - maybe that's why she sounds familiar. She just doesn't seem to be controversial enough to be talked about on that "other" board.)
