Hi All Crazy week here. My cousin had her baby she is a peanut
5lbs 8oz and only 18inches long she is smaller than a doll. So cute!!!! I will post pics later on. Made me think am I ready for another one???

Well glad to see Cammie is home How was your trip? Did the girls have fun?

Kara- Don't float away we need our MARTHA!!!

Tammie- What cataloge does Renee have? Does it have spa products in it? If so send it my way!!!!

Renee- How are you feeling? Any news from the doctor?

Pam- Sounds like you are having a blast.

Tina- You amaze me maybe one day we will have to get together so you can show me how to sew anything:rotfl: Glad you are back!

Laura- How are the munchkins?

Debbie- How are things? Enjoying the summer I imagine.

Well out to see the new baby again soon and then to do some shopping I start nutrisystem Monday and have to get my fruit and salad things and label them. I am very excited to get started.

jillian you will have to let us know how nutrisystem goes. I have always been interested in that one. I assume that it is similar to Jenny Craig.

So my girls were off to my mil's camper this weekend and of course the little one leaves with a runny nose, but I knew she would get better the more she moved around. This am - 6am to be exact the phone rings and it's the oldest saying she has a bad headache what should she take. DH talks to his mother and DD9 says she's fine - she doesn't want to come home. 9am phone rings-they are at the grocery store what should they pick up. DD9's head still hurts, but she's doing ok.

5pm-phone rings - it's DD9 sobbing! She wants to come home. I talk to MIL and she says they went to the water slide and then went down for a nap. When she woke up from the nap she started crying saying she wants to go home. The poor thing is miserable - freezing cold, but burning hot fever. So they are coming home.

Well I'm not trying to be selfish, but there goes a romantic night for mom and dad. But the poor thing I hope she doesn't have the flu. Her headaches get pretty bad even for a 9 yo.

OT - I did get a bunch of fabric cut so when I get her settled I'll sew up the shorts and shirts and that will make her happy - new clothes. YEAH:cutie: I hit Old Navy this AM and got her 3 new pants (they had a sale jeans for $7 for kids) and I'm going to HM them with cool patches and stuff - I'll post when done.

It is still raining!!! We had about an hour of partial sun this morning, so we heading out to Home Depot to get the beadboard, a circular saw, and a work bench for Jeff. Got home and realized we're in over our heads with this project! We were planning to do 4' of beadboard all along the bedroom walls, and paint it white to match the trim. But once we realized we needed a jig saw to cut out the outlets, and found out we need to remove the baseboards, we decided to take back the board and the saw. We may attempt it in my office later when we pull up the carpet and lay hardwoods in there. But not going in our bedroom at this point.

So I think we'll just paint tomorrow. And one more coat in the kitchen, then Jeff wants to help me hang the drapery rods in the family room. Finally I can get the drapes hung, so I can estimate how much fabric I need to buy to add to the bottom. I'm so excited to do it, but I can't hang the rods by myself - our family room has a 20' ceiling!

Tina - so sorry your DD is sick and you lose your romantic weekend! Hope she feels better.

Jillian - yea!!! A new baby! Oh, I don't miss those beginning days, except for the fac that it was all new and exciting.

Laura - enjoy your time alone! Hot bubble bath, glass of wine, good book!

Cammie - so glad you're back! At least you didn't get eaten by a great white shark! You've got some catchin up to do!

Debbie - hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Tammie - I would also love to see your product catalog!

Pam - so what did you end up doing with the girls yesterday? Enjoy your husband free weekend - time to go shopping! ;)

Renee - are you feeling better? Hope you have fun scrapping!

Tessa - ok, kippers do NOT sound appetizing! Just watched the 3rd Harry Potter movie, and as we were watching it and talking about it opening at Universal, Jeff's cousin called to check on us. They are our "golden ticket" to Universal and I can't wait for Harry Potter land to open!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'll check in with y'all on Monday! Thank you everyone for checking on us - here's hoping this is our last tropical storm for awhile, at least for the season!

Where is everyone?:confused3 No DP tonight? I wasn't game anyway. Posting maybe, but no drinks for me. My stomach feels like it is going to burst. Taylor and I ate at Souper Salad and stuffed ourselves sick. Meg is at a public pool/waterpark w/the band, and Tay just went 2 doors down to her friends' house to spend the night, so I am alone for at least 30 mins. So, what am I doing? The Cheetah Girls movie is playing in the living room, and here I am!

We had a pretty lazy day. We all went to grab lunch after band practice, took a nap, did Sam's shopping, laundry, went by the school to find out who Taylor's teacher is, got Meg's eyebrows waxed, and I got in my 3rd weekly workout :woohoo:. I really struggle to do that, but feel good after I do. One day to rest tomorrow, then I need to make myself go three more times next week.:headache: Taylor was pleased about who she got for a teacher. I'm glad.

Tina - I'm sorry that happened w/your daughter and they had to come home. I hope she feels better. When do they start school? Taylor tends to have a stomach ache a lot of times when she is staying overnight somewhere and has to come home.

Laura - Are you enjoying a quiet night by yourself? Kara mentioned that in her post. Enjoy!

Kara - I'm glad that the worst of this storm is over for you. We had another scorcher today, then it started to cloud up and thunder and lightning, but no rain. I think rain's in our forecast for tomorrow. That sounds like a huge project you all were going to undertake. Tomorrow's project sounds big to me. Enjoy your Sunday!

Jillian - Congrats on the baby! Can't wait to see pics. That is a small baby!

'Night all!

Hi Ladies! I don't know where the day went - but it seemed like I was busy. I went shopping for sandals on clearance for Mason for our Mexico trip - his are getting too small. I found a cute pair of sandals and a pair of water socks, as well as a light weight capri workout set for me to fly in.

I had an appointment at 5 and then Jim and I went out to dinner and tried to go for a walk at our "lake" which I consider a giant swamp. We were swarmed by little green bugs called midges - I swallowed a few - so our walk was really short.

I'll send info to those who asked - thanks for asking.

Kara, I'm glad you didn't have a tornado. Sorry you had to change your decorating plans. Nice you noticed before you got "elbow deep."

Pam, sounds like you had a great time with your girls! I'm glad you had that time to make memories. Please don't call for Fall yet - we just got Summer 6 weeks ago. It was already cold here for a few days this week.
My reunion was actually fun! I wish I would have gone to the 20th. The guy who was our student body pres said we'll plan another one in 4 years - I think I'll help plan - I can plan a killer party. We had a cocktail party with no food. It was at a Mexican place, and they were supposed to take our orders for food and appetizers, but only after the line for the bar was done
:confused3 Everyone started leaving or eating downstairs after awhile.

Also, they played 90s music and modern music. We wanted to hear 70s!!!

Tina, sorry your DD is sick. hope she feels better.

Jillian, CONGRATULATIONS to your cousin! I hope you'll post pics! I'm glad everything is fine. Yah, how is that fertility thing coming???

Renee, how are you doing?

Debbie, are you back yet?

Cammie????

Okay, news about our ressies - I got up early today and called MS to try to change from SSR to BWV. Jim was really looking forward to staying there. Well, I found that the points had gone up since I planned this - the CM who helped me schedule at SSR said it was the same points for preferred view at BWV. Now they moved the seasonal dates around, and it would be even more points. We aren't wanting to borrow any more points, so we're staying at SSR. We're really disappointed - I need to really think our plans through - we were looking forward to walking to Epcot. I think we'll rent a car for sure now, and Jim says ixne on the dining plan - maybe we'll eat out in town more this trip.

Here's the sad news. We are so spoiled. We have a wonderful place to stay, and we get to go to WDW! :yay: I should be slapped for pouting. It's just that my plan isn't working, so now I need to rethink everything. It will be fun to try new things!

Now I'll return you to my happy self! Have a happy Sunday everyone!

So an update from the sick front - one daughter turned to two daughters both with fevers of 102. So we all stayed home last night and the girls watched the Cheetah girls 3 in bed. DD9 woke up in the middle of the night and jumped into bed with me. This AM DD9 is looking better, DD6 is sounding better, so I think it was something at the campground. I was afraid it was this bug I heard lingered around water parks and wasn't effected by chlorine so it wasn't being killed easily. Thank goodness all they needed was some tlc from mom and dad and they got better.

I'm going to finish up the shorts and baby-doll shirt today and I'll post some pictures. Here's a picture of the Bobby Jack fabric I got to make some PJ shorts.

Here in MA we start school on September 3rd, so I have some time with the outfits. I'm bummed because I bought both girls new backpacks at Toysrus and the zippers broke already. I have to replace them, but I hate doing zippers so it will be the day before school starts before I even look at them.

When does everyone else start school?

Happy Sunday All!

Guess what I'm doing? Watching it storm... AGAIN!!! This is getting really old! At least we had a couple hours of sun today.

I hung one of the drapery rods today. Not fun. Jeff is afraid of heights, so it's up to me. He held the 20' extension ladder while I climbed up many times to get the rods hung. Then I got the drapes hung. I will get the fabric this week hopefully, but at least now that they are hung, I can see where I need to cut to attach the fabric to the bottom. It's going to be a big job, especially rehaning them when they'll be 3 times as heavy!

Got the entire upstairs cleaned today, and rearranged a couple of rooms. That feels good, knowing that whole area is done for awhile! Jeff got the downstairs vacuumed for me, so all I need to do is mop the tiled floors, and touch up the bathrooms this week. Oh, and clean my office. It's a wreck!!!

There is still so much standing water everywhere! We got about a 15 minute shower this morning, and the storm drains were going crazy! We need about a week of dry weather, just so the drains can all catch up!

Jeff and Ally are making dinner tonight - all Chinese food in honor of the Olympic closing ceremony. They're making crab rangoon, stir fry, egg drop soup. Should be good. And he actually checked nutrition info so I can eat a little bit of everything!!!

Tina! That fabric is so cute! And take those backpacks back to the store - you shouldn't have to accept that shoddy quality.

Yuck! Sorry it's still raining. I saw a bunch of pics of flooded streets in your town. I hope it quiets down so the water can drain off.

I am being really lazy today. I overslept so I skipped church, and all I have done is fold some laundry, clean up my office stuff that was in the dining room, help the kids pack a picnic basket, and take a shower. I really need to make some phone calls to the church volunteers and some of my clients, but all I want to do is play one more day before I babysit tomorrow! :cool1:

Your dinner sounds wonderful. I'm going to make spaghetti. I took some cooked hamburger w/onions out of the freezer a couple of days ago - really need to use it or throw it out.

Can't wait to see how your room turns out!

kara- I think you need a dingy or pontoons for the golf cart. Hmmm that would be an interesting look, an amphibious golf cart. :boat: hey there's my million $$ idea. no more lost golf balls just drive you cart in after it :rotfl2:

Good luck with the curtains. I have high hopes just to get fabric picked out let alone hang them.

Tammie soak up every minute before the kids come back.

I loved my weekend alone even if I did have to work. I missed the girls something awful. They're home I'll see them in an hour.

We will start school on September 3. One more trip to the lake next weekend and then back to the grind.

Hey guys - I'm home but I still feel like I'm on vacation. The girls don't get back until tomorrow. I went into Boston with a friend yesterday for some dinner. Today was a glorious day - spent a few hours on my deck soaking in some sun and reading. I'll post details of my trip and some pix tomorrow.

Kara - Glad to hear you survived the storm. Hope you get some sun soon. And -- I agree with everyone else -- can't believe how much more mature Ally looked on her first day of school. She looks like she's grown so much! And glad to see you supporting the Mouse by clothing her in head-to-toe Disney attire!

Renee - How was your night away last night. Hope you were feeling better and was able to enjoy yourself!

Debbie - Hoping you're having a good time and are chasing those blues away. Got you email; no need to apologize - I kind of snuck out of here last week.

Laura - Hope you enjoyed your weekend of freedom. Nice, isn't it?

Jillian - Congrats on your cousin's new baby. Glad everything turned out ok and she was born healthy.

Pam - Sorry I didn't call you back last week. You called the day before I left but I didn't get the message until I got on the road Sat. -- and I don't drive and dial. I'll check in with you sometime this week. Hope you had fun with your girls. Souper Salald - one of my faves! Chicken salad walkabout - Yummy!

Tammie - Your spa treatment sounded wonderful. One of my friends is getting into Arbonne consulting and she actually had a party today - I didn't feel like driving the hour to her house so I missed it. I do like the looks of the product though.

Tessa - Sorry about the troubles with your sis. There's no excuse for being so mean to your mom. All I can say is that she's probably going through a really emotionally turbulent time right now and may not always be thinking clearly. I hope she realizes she needs her family though.

Tina - Hope your girls are feeling better.

Maureen - I didn't know you were in Jersey! Where exactly? I said I was at the Jersey shore this week but don't consider where I was the REAL Jersey shore. My brother and his wife live in Freehold and belong to a pool/beach club in West Long Branch - so that's as far as we went. In the past, I've tried to go down to Wildwood but that drive is just too long for me to make anymore. It's so nice to have another Jersey girl around here!

Cammie! Welcome Home - we missed you! Sounds like you had a nice day.

You'll have to check out the Arbonne - nothing like it! :thumbsup2

Well, back to the craziness now!

Getting ready to get Ally to the bus stop, gymnastics tonight and Jenny Craig, then open house at the school tomorrow.

My neighbor and I are heading to the fitness center this morning - every Mon, Wed, and Fri starting today! I stayed on plan pretty well all weekend, so we'll see tonight if it's all paid off!

I think I'm gonna stop and get my fabric tonight. I'm a nervous wreck about this. What if I don't like it once I get all 20 yards home! That's a lot of fabric to buy and then not like. Oy vey!

Cammie, glad you're home, looking forward to those pics!

Laura, hmmmm, an amphibious golf cart, I like it!!!

Tina, the fabric looks cute - glad your girls are feeling better.

Tammie, looking forward to that catalog.

Renee, did you survive your weekend?

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!

Hi everyone.

I haven't read anything yet, but I promise I'll get caught up this afternoon.

Our trip was well needed. Carlos was in a mood so his attitude made it hard to enjoy myself. I told him as much when I got home. We did a few things - just piddled mostly. My BF's dad got told he has prostate cancer Friday. Just after a very awful year of treatment for Hep C (which he contracted via the dentist btw). It seems to be rather advanced. His PSA levels were triple. They did the biopsy so we are waiting on that but from the sonogram they suspect it has invaded the lympth system and may be stage 4. :sad1:

As for me, I have my CT scan for Tues at 4. I needed my mom to watch the kids and I knew that would be the easiest to have it then.

I need to run some errands this am, but I'll check in later. Hope everyone is doing well!

Well it's afternoon and it has already been a yucky day

Badookie woke up with a 103 fever brought him to the doc and nothing is wrong just a bug or his teeth? 103 for teeth I don't think so. Started my nutrisystem today good so far but missed breakfast due to an hour visit at the doc then had to run and get tylenol etc..

Kara- can't wait to see how the curtains come out.

Renee- Sorry to hear about your friends dad. prostate CA is so hard. It moves thru the body so darn fast.

Tammie- The fertility thing is not being tracked right now. I decided I wanted to loose at least 30lbs. before we even tried again.

Well off to plan more Disney I have to change our eating plans around now that Tabitha is not going with us and since Badookie is asleep this is my Only time.

Hi everyone! The kids went back to school today. I always get teary on the first day of school. I have one in her last year of elementary school, and one starting high school. 2 good reasons to cry! It is so wonderful today, knowing exactly where they are at every minute, and not getting 50 daily phone calls from them, asking if they can do something, go somewhere, or just quarreling! I am not looking forward to the mounds of paperwork that comes home the first week of school. Yucky!

Tina - Your fabric is so cute! I would take the backpacks back, too! You shouldn't have to fix them, even if they had been used for a little bit. I'm glad your girls are better. It's amazing what home can do.

Kara - That is awesome that Jeff and Ally fixed dinner last night! We were sad after the closing ceremonies. Good for you on sticking to the JC and working out! I seem like I talk about it constantly, but it helps motivate me to go, because I HATE IT! I wish I had the willpower for JC or NS, or some program like that. I had an awful eating weekend. We had fun, tho! I hope that your rain ends. It sounds like you all have been so productive indoors tho!

Tammie - I skipped church yesterday, too. We had so many errands to run, then wanted to be home when Darrin got home from his guys weekend. Megan went to eat w/the church youth, and Darrin, Taylor and I went out to eat Mexican. I need to check out the Arbonne. I am a Mary Kay consultant, but don't do it for the business, only to use the products.

Laura - I know what you mean about enjoying the alone time, but missing them so terribly much. Then, when mine are back for 15 mins, I think WTH was I thinking?? :rotfl: Where do you all stay when you go to the lake? That's nice that you have that getaway!

Cammie - Glad to hear you had fun! We missed you! Can't wait to see your pics. I'm bad about posting them, and need to. That way you all will know I'm not some creep. I've posted some before. It's just been a long time.

Renee - Sorry to hear about your BF's dad. I am so tired of hearing about people w/cancer. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow afternoon. Keep positive.:)

Jillian - I don't miss the teething days! I hope that Badookie is doing better. That has got to be miserable for them. :cheer2: on the NS. Like I said, I wish I had the willpower. I just eat bad, then go for days drinking coffee and barely eating to try to make up for it. It's not good. Have fun planning Disney! You are getting so close!:yay:

Hi to everyone else!:hippie:

Hi Girls!!
I am back in town for a couple days. Glad you are all well. Kara glad you are safe.....
I have to go back and catch up with how you all have been. I think about you guys all the time!
Cammie..I feel like I haven't talked to you in FOREVER!
Oh...also I am gonna post my trip plans...CAN'T BELIEVE I am gonna meet Kara!
Debbie

Hi Deb! Listen to you! I am back in town for a couple of days...Busy lady! I want to travel! Enjoy your last days of summer! Although I was glad I am not getting a zillion phone calls from my kids during the day, I miss them!

Your trip is close! Are the kids getting excited? I'm jealous that you get to meet Kara. I want to meet all of you!

Just dropping in to say thank you to everyone who wished my girls well. DH took them to the DRs today and DD6 has bad allergies and a cold, but DD9 might have lyme disease. We've got her on antibiodics and then we go back in 3 weeks for blood work. The Dr agreed that the big red spot on her under arm could be a spider bite and her symptoms were really close to lyme disease. Has anyone experienced this? I'm trying not to freak out about it so she doesn't get scared, but I don't know what to do.

I know I sound so worldly but we will just be heading back to Wisconsin on Thursday for Labor Day weekend. I am getting in every last second of summer I can!

Tina Good luck with the kids!!! I really hope she doesn't have lyme disease! I don't know anything about it but I just hope they both get better fast!
