HI DEBBIE!!!

Like Pam, I go on EVERYTHING! Except Rockin Roller Coaster. Just can't handle that catapult take off! :scared1: And IASW is tradition!

The clouds are building and looks like some storms are rolling in. It's been over a week since we've had rain, so I welcome it today!!!

come on!! I will ride all of them. I guess that is where my girls get their daredevilness.

I'm going to pass on the guniess float. I don't like beer. Okay I hear the boos now. I over did it in college. Warm yucky beer in a nasty college house cleaned by boys soured me on beer for life. :headache:

To Michelle and all the other Control Freak Mom's out there!

Hi! Welcome! :cheer2: Lots of great tips, thanks!:flower3: Have fun in Cape Cod! Who's Michelle?:confused3 :confused3

Cammie, sorry the tennis lessons were cancelled - maybe this will help you feel better:

ts

If it didn't make Cammie feel better, it made me feel better!:lovestruc

That's beautiful! I have never seen Illuminations - do you guys see it every time,, she says hopefully....

Yes! It's a definite for me! Maybe we can all make a list of 3 definite attractions that we want to do on the trip and make it a point to do at least one of everyone's. That sounds possible, doesn't it?

I will ride TOT with you, Kara! I love to hate it!

I'm in, too!!

I'll go on everything!! :yay: I'll even do IASW - I just love to be a kid!

Me, too!, me, too!!!:yay:

Cammie - bartender
Debbie - photographer
Kara - wardrobe
Renee - scrapbook planning
Pam - activities director
Tammie - Spa and Facials
Laura - lost and found

I LOVE IT!! Jim will come around! There will be no trolling for men, only for Cammie! We'll keep each other in line!:lmao:

Straighten up or I'll have Kara get a lime green shirt made for you that reads "Free to a man with a good room : DISer (or we could put "Hussie" :lmao:) with Self Esteem Issues .... fine print - must be deluxe category room or higher"

Kara - can you make the shirt above? Since Cammie thinks they are a little "unattractive" can you Bedazzle hers?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Maybe some puff paint or some glitter glue too please.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I want to be there right now. :sad1:

We will be! In a year and a month! (most of you sooner:sad1: )

come on!! I will ride all of them. I guess that is where my girls get their daredevilness.

Me, too! I'm in!!:thumbsup2

Hi, Deb! Glad you're back! Are you home for awhile?

'night all!:grouphug:

Hi Debbie! You better stick around - we are planning and controlling without you! :scared1: I'm glad you're back~

kara is making us all wear lime green shirts
Cammie wants us to find her a disney man
We are having a slumber party at SSR
Jillian wants to trade her DH in :goodvibes
Laura lost her Driver's License at the movies, then found it again, but not her Visa :sad2:
Renee is an Uber Decorator and Kara is trying to make her stop before she turns into another Martha! :rotfl2:
Pam is shoppin till she's droppin for school stuff, but she came back to us
I was so busy and wiped out last week that I couldn't post w/o falling asleep - so I'm trying to make up for it this week!
Tessa came back from the beach with an adorable pic of the girls
I know there's more...but I'm winging it -not bad for a grandma eh? (that's for Laura - ya sure ya betcha!)
How was your week?

I'm sitting outside with a glass of wine - got my office cleaned up today, but not my desk - and met a client at a coffee shop tonight.

We had baked potatoes with bacon and the works, mixed veggies and fresh spinach and strawberry salad for dinner.

I love these warm evenings, we don't get many.

Watching the Olympics - second glass of wine - so I thought I'd find some pics of the inside of SSR - don't know why i don't have any...

Bed and sofa bed - a queen and a double - sleeps 3 adults

5b21.jpg

Happy Tuesday!

Knew you would!:thumbsup2

We couldn't do more than four adults; they say studios sleep 5 - but I think that would only work if one of the five was a child.

BTW, there is only 1 queen and 1 double sofa bed in a SSR studio... so I think that would only be 3.

I'm super ticked. Not only did I have issues going to sleep last night, now I'm having waking up issues too. I slept 4 hours last night!

WELCOME BACK DEBBIE! How was your trip? We missed you!

Please, Tammie, like I could ever keep up with Martha. I'm just trying to fix my little girl's room to look like... well... a little girls room finally! :rotfl:

Finished 3 more rose sets last night. So I think 6 more to go. YUCKY! Last night was inverse though, so that was some of it taking so long. Hard to explain, just trust me.

I booked the party for next week for my BF. I was shocked to have two people already say they are coming. :woohoo: for her.

Would it be horrible of me to insist that my mom keep the kids for 1 hour for me to get a massage? My neck muscles are killing me - that was my sleeping issues last night. This has been going on for 2 weeks, but I must have done something wrong because the muscles seem so tight.

I've been running numbers for our trip in May. Was wondering if I could pick your brains about this. I've been pricing 4 night stays; Adding a Park hopper for 5 days, and DDP and in some instances a rental car. I've gotten myself so confused at what to tell him I think is best at this point.

Nicolas LOVES zoo animals - always has - especially Zebras. He also loves Stitch, so DH thinks Poly or AK are places we should consider.

Poly - 4 nights - std view- 5 day PH tickets ($2702) add DDP ($3066)
BC - 4 nights - pool/water view - 5 day PH tickets ($2927), add DDP ($3291)
CTR - 4 nights - garden view - 5 day PH tickets ($2522) add DDP (2$886)
AKL - 4 nights - savanna view - 5 day PH tickets ($2455) add DDP ($2819) add rental car ($3037)
CBR - 4 nights - preferred view - 5 day PH tickets ($1712) add DDP ($2076) add rental car ($2295)
ASmo - 4 nights - preferred - 5 day PH tickets ($1377) add DDP ($1740) add rental car ($1960)

Thoughts?

I think the AKL price looks great! Just remember, if you're going in May the buses won't be that packed. In fact, even waiting on a bus after the parks close, will still probably get you back to the resort faster than waiting in a crowded parking lot to drive back. And if Nicolas loves animals, that sounds great, plus with little ones, you'll spend a bit more time in the room so he could actually enjoy the view!

BC being the highest, I'd scratch it for Poly since you'll be at MK most of the time anyway. Oh, and with AKL, didn't you say you probably wouldn't do AK anyway? So there's your animal fix!

So my vote is AKL or Poly. Sorry, Cammie, as much as I love Epcot and the Boardwalk, I think this would work best for them.... THIS time!

Debbie - glad you're back! We have missed you this summer! When does Elizabeth start school?

Tessa - are your girls back in school yet?

And where the heck is Erin???

This whole Caylee Anthony case has me so upset. I really think this little girl is alive somewhere. I believe the mother didn't want her (cause she interupted her party life too much) so she just gave her away. At least that's what I hope....:sad2:

OK, I've already blown my new "plan." I am not allowing myself on the DIS until I have worked out 30 minutes on my elliptical each day. Even if I have to break it into 2 workouts, until I get back into shape again. But here I am, and no, I haven't even looked at the elliptical yet today!

I'm so jealous - magicfor2!

Casica - we were just at the cape a week ago! My friend had a cottage down there and we go down now and then. It's so relaxing!

CRdisMom - I'm right there with you on not liking beer! Sorry gang. I'd rather have a nice glass of pino grigio or a mudslide on the rocks - one of those and a view of the castle and I'm set for life!

UsNew2Disney2008 - honestly I'm a firm believer that you stay somewhere inexpensive so you can spend more time and money at the park. So with that said I'd say CBR, however I've been to AKL and it is awesome to wake up to see zebra outside your window, but you can visit AKL without paying an arm and leg staying there. I love BC, so when I can't stay there I always make sure we visit via the Cape May Cafe. If you can do AKL do it, but otherwise save the $800 for fun stuff like a pirate crusie for your son or a meal at the rainforest cafe!

Kara - what if you make dis-green Mickey tye dye shirts - or have you already decided?

Oh well I'm runinng off to work. Tonight I have to continue packing the trailer for our Storyland/Santa's Village adventure this weekend. Oh did I mention it's my 13th wedding anniversary - need to get DH a card:rolleyes:

I also ran numbers for ASmo and Cont too and edited them in to the numbers. As bad as I HATE to say it, talking to him I think it is either something on the monorail, animals for Nicolas or a Value/Mod. Again - THIS TRIP.

Now, thanks for what you told me about the traffic situation. That would send him over the roof! Plus, I hate to say this, but he won't let me drive at places like that - feels it is his "Manly Duty" to drive me around like Ms. Daisy. That translates into he probably won't drink - which could (okay will) mean he will want to go back to the resort early.

I'm with you Kara on figuring something out. I have on my "to do" to see if there is a JC special. I asked Cammie about her Tummy Program. THere is just a lot I want to do.

And I got people to read that little girls story. I immediately suspected she might have sold her. That is just too wierd.

My punkin who gets up at 6 am just got up. :headache: If I had been asleep he'd been up at 5:30!!!!

Good Morning! I didn't sleep either! I'm trying to get sleepy now by reading about vacation - right.

Renee, I'm with Kara - you'll love AKL and Nicolas will get to see lots of animals! :thumbsup2

Good morning! What is up with the sleep?

Both punkins are up, so time to get some breakfast going.

Thanks to everyone about your opinions. The only think about AKL is that we would have to go back during the day for a nap. The night time leaving the park would be done about 9 pm latest - so perhaps we'd miss the PM rush? :rotfl:

I keep telling myself there is no wrong answer, but man the stress I put on myself about this.

:rotfl: I love ALL of the rides even RRC so I will be in for everything.

Gym for me today too. I pulled out my back last night and that was the final straw.

Good morning!
I keep telling myself there is no wrong answer, but man the stress I put on myself about this.

AKL is Amazing. We go to Boma for breakfast at least once every vacation. You Will need a car there from what I hear. It is VERY out of the way. I would say think about how much extra you are paying to see animal only in the AM? Is that worth it to you? Is the commute back to the hotel in the afternoon worth it for you? If it is then this is the place for you.

Now As for Poly I second this a the next best choice
Monorail resorts and the neverland club he would have a blast while you Carlos and Mia have a few hours to yourselves. You have to read about it I want to go there  .

Do you have a passporter yet? It really helped me decide and plan. It was worth the money. Also I could keep receipts tickets etc in there to bring home with me.

rainy day here. Maybe t hht will helo be get k laundy done. KAtherine is helpinmg me type, incase you couldn't tell :)

I love Tammie's summarizing!!!! Cracked me up! :rotfl2:

OK, so I've got Pam, Jillian, Laura and Tammie on ToT with me??? And Space Mtn, Splash, BTMRR and anything else?

Well...you know what I will say! No seriously though the two nights at AKL for my 40th were VERY fun in the beginning of June. No stress. The buses were a breeze because AKL has a bus to themselves. My only feelings were that I felt VERY removed from the parks. I have said a billion times that I love hearing all the park magic from the deluxe resorts and at AKL it is all about the animal magic. Here's the thing if you do AKL you HAVE TO do the Savannah view. It is so great. Want pix? I have em!

Wisconsin was REALLY nice. Had good friends there and good weather. I feel summer winding down though and it bums me out! Thank goodness Elizabeth doesn't go back until September 2nd!
Have a good day girls. The weather is cool and I am not a fan of summer ending. I feel VERY stressed over NOTHING which means I am getting my friend. I have gained weight like a few of you and need to nip that in the bud. Oh well...cleaning...laundry...dieting....whatever!

I love Tammie's summarizing!!!! Cracked me up!

I LOVE it too (Tammie's summary)!

I DO all rides but in the past few years have been avoiding ones that might make me sick (motion sick). I always cave though and end up a little queasy some days!

Still can't commit to this trip. I again will reiterate how extremely jealous I will be but I am not sure what the next year holds yet....
My brother will hopefully be getting engaged soon as well as Mark's niece. Also I am pushing for a March WDW trip if I can get some half way decent airfare. Lastly, I can't see getting away with going in September and then again in October...We will see though.
Never say Never!

BTW I am already having nightmares that my brother and Mark's neice will get engaged the same time and start planning things for conflicting dates (or ruin one of my WDW trips)! You know how well I do with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rainy day here. Maybe t hht will helo be get k laundy done. KAtherine is helpinmg me type, incase you couldn't tell :)

Hi Laura! At least it's not raining here or I would really be doing a doggie downer! Hope the weather by you gets better!
