beth would love some of that warm weather then we can convince the neighbor to open her pool. We love them. They opened it this year just for my girls. Theirs have left home for college so it works for them too. Today is 75 and sunny. I don't want to complain it is just since to have some sun.

Cammie 13 days! That is so awesome. If you are like me your bags are almost packed. :)

Jillian I just noticed your new ticker. Good luck and enjoy the practice :rotfl:

kara if it weren't for the bugs

I think I would move to your subdivision in a heart beat. That sounds so awesome You really don't have to go anywhere to entertain ally. With the golf cart it sounds perfect.

off to go grocery shopping.

Okay I am pretending to be Debbie with all the pictures :hyper:

Laura...I wish to be in MN right now. It's supposed to be 104 here today..the other day it was 103...yuck. If I could only get in a bikini again..that's what I'd wear around all day.

Cammie..I sure hope FL isn't like this when we're there!

Hi Kara! Thanks for asking how we are. DD did indeed have strep as did my 12 yo DD. I went and got tested too, but was negative. Mine was viral but now I have bronchitis. DD's are doing better. Hope they don't get what I have.

This is the last week of school so all the parties are going on..water day, ice cream social, etc. My DD's birthday party was last Sunday and 14 of the 18 kids in her class came. So this illness is going to make it's way around class. All the mom's are going to know it was us. My good friend's son just came down with strep (he gets it all the time) and his sister and my DD are in the same class and are the very best of buddies. I called our pediatrician and asked if she gets re-infected and we are in WDW can we just call something in? They said Yes and I said Halleluah!!! DOn't want to go to thta Centre Care again like last year!!

Cammie..I sure hope FL isn't like this when we're there!

Pam - I'm guessing it will be - only more humid!
2.gif

Think of this as "practice" - only more bearable because we'll be hot and sweaty in WDW!

Sorry to hear the girls did have strep; good thing you got it checked out beforehand. I hope everyone will now be completely healed by trip time!:cool1:

too bad they don't make visors with built in fans

Oh I'm sure they're out there! You can always put your underwear in the freezer to stay cool!:hyper:

Thought I'd give you my schedule - don't know if it will jive with where you'll be - let me know!

6/22 - arrival day; dinner at Tony's Town Square; PM EMH at MK
6/23 - pool; dinner at Raglan Road in DTD
6/24 - AM EMH at MK; pool in afternoon; dinner & PM EMH at Epcot (France)
6/25 - Rope drop at DHS; afternoon - BW and Epcot; dinner at YC; PM EMH at DHS for Fantasmic
6/26 - AK during the day; dinner and PM EMH at Epcot (Canada)
6/27 - MK for a few hours; depart for airport by 4pm.:(

Pam, glad you had the girls checked out! Now they'll be well for your trip!

Cammie, it's still cold here - 57 tomorrow! :( It is supposed to be 81 by Sat. for our graduation party, though. Regarding your friend coming, I agree with Kara, you could just make it one afternoon, and then be unavailable the rest of the time - and she might not come. 12 days!!!! :woohoo:

Tessa and Kara, sorry you're going through the "girl drama" - we didn't have that with our boys, but I remember it in 6th and 7th grade - I guess it happens younger now.

Hi Laura and Jillian!

I called our pediatrician and asked if she gets re-infected and we are in WDW can we just call something in? They said Yes and I said Halleluah!!! DOn't want to go to thta Centre Care again like last year!!

I read somewhere that doctors cannot call in prescriptions over state lines. But I don't know how it works if he calls it in to a Walgreens near you and then they can transfer it to a Walgreens in Orlando? Just something I "heard" that "they" said. Ya know?

Pam - I'm guessing it will be - only more humid!

Don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but it's more humid where you gals are right now than we are! And here in Jacksonville it's supposed to "cool down" into the upper 80's next week, so I've got a very good feeling that y'all will have nice weather! :thumbsup2

Tessa and Kara, sorry you're going through the "girl drama" - we didn't have that with our boys, but I remember it in 6th and 7th grade - I guess it happens younger now.

Unfortunately, I think EVERYTHING happens younger now! :(

Two trips right on the horizon now! :cool1: Wait, really three trips cause Tammie's is coming up too! Cammie, will you be checking in while you're there? I'm really antsy to hear about Ragland Road. Wait, didn't Erin eat there? Anyone?

Laura, what is that pic in your post?

Hey Jillian! Did you say that Saturday or Sunday of your trip in Nov (15th 16th) is your laid back day? Ally and I have dinner at 5pm on Saturday at 1900PF but otherwise, we're open to meeting up with anyone anytime! Hopefully we can get together for a drink or something. I hated that I got all of 3 minutes with Laura last month! It was so crazy rushed!

I told Jeff that I booked 1900 Park Fare for Ally and I and he was really cool with that. Then I told him that of course I had to book our room, too, and he was really cool with THAT too! But he knows that I am a deal hunter and if any special room rates are offered between now and then, I'll jump all over those!

I'm also thinking about doing the DDE card. 20% off everything except tip, right Cammie? Is it all counter service locations, too? I see it's $60/yr for passholders, so I'd need to spend $300 in food in a year to make it up. Hello? I can do that in a day!!!!! We might get it when we're there in September, even though we're doing the DDP, and then when Ally and I go, heck, we'll save about $10 just at 1900PF.

OK, hello everyone, must get showered now and get Ally to Summer Camp. Later!

OK,

Still no word from the friend yet. I've put it out of my mind. I will, in no way, let my plans be affected; all that I'm worried about is if I'm going to have to have an uncomfortable conversation with the mom if she does come the same time.

As far as the girl drama - fasten your seatbelts, ladies.....it only gets worse! I thought I had until 8th grade and we've already dealt with our fair share here in 6th (most of it with the girl whose family wants to join us in Disney!) It's just sad to hear Lauren talk about school sometimes; she mentions the "popular" girls; the "sporty" girls - the cliques have been established. One thing I've learned is that the biggest thing Lauren needs from me is to just listen. I swear, sometimes she'll come home and just go off on a teary 10 minute rant; she doesn't want to hear any rationalization - just wants to vent (wonder where she gets that from!)
8.gif
When she's done, it's like a weight has been lifted and she says "thanks for letting me do that, Mom". No matter how ridiculous we may think their "issue" is, we just have to be there to listen.

I had read that we were dealing with more humidity this week. I'm going with the expectation that it will be unbearable at WDW - I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's not; but I think we have a good game plan to handle it.

If I remember correctly, I think Jillian is at 1900PF on Sat. also; I know I'll be at MK on the 15th because that's our last full day, but we have dinner ADRs at LeCellier that night. Jillian said she was planning on Sunday being her down day, I think; mentioned hopping over to Epcot - which is where we'll be going for a few hours before we have to leave for the airport (our flight isn't until 7pm). We MUST meet up for slushies, ladies!

I'm getting the DDE card for this trip. I think it's a good deal - it's 20% discount but they automatically ADD in an 18% tip. It's only good at a select few CS - it's for mostly TS. So you get 20% taken off your bill, but they add in 18% gratuity. Since I usually tip 20%, I'll save. I like that the discount is off the whole bill - alcohol included. And, Erin did eat at RR - she loved it. I'm looking forward to trying it too!

Ok - I'm off to the gym!

Then I'm off to get my hair cut, colored and highlighted.

I'm a week overdo and, boy, do I need it! I feel so unattractive when my hair is looking like this!

Later ladies! Stay cool! Don't let this happen to you ..........

Cammie - I see you're filling in for Debbie while she's gone with all the smilies! :rotfl2: She'll be so proud!

I just tracked my order for the PhotoBook I ordered from photopass - it's scheduled to deliver tomorrow! :cool1: Along with my new comforter and drapes for our bedroom! Now I'm pumped to clean house so I can have it all pressed and hung and on the bed when Jeff gets home tomorrow! Woo hoo!

I think I'm going to go shop for fabric tonight and I WILL make my own drapes for the family room. The ceiling is 20' but I know exactly what I want to do and it's not difficult, I just don't know how I'll hang them. But my girlfriend is coming in from SC for the week of 4th of July and I know her DH would hang them for me. And she can help me sew them if I need help. I just need some color in that room! Off white couch, beige carpet, beige walls - it's very vanilla in there! And the dog chewed up the area rug - but it will stay there until he's over this chewing faze.

Jillian - is it true that y'all are at 1900 PF on Saturday Nov 15th? Ally and I are eating there that night, too!

Good Morning Ladies! I'm just stopping by - I need to get my act together today - I'm getting my hair cut, then seeing a client, then I'm getting little Mason, and we have a meeting at the church this afternoon to plan some things for the kids.

Cammie, I'm lovin' your smileys!

Brea, I mean Kara - there you go again! Get that bedding pressed and make those drapes! :rotfl2: Really, I'm just jealous! ;) Don't forget to post pics of your scrapbook when it comes in!

Okay, gotta fly! Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Get OUT!!!! (note, I said that like Elaine - so that's how you have to read it to get the full effect!)

I've got the radar pulled up and we're ready to get more bad storms it looks like - I HATE this! Even though I'm fascinated by weather, I absolutely hate the fact that this happens all the time down here!

Oh, I've started my pre-trippie for our anniversary trip. Thought it might be fun......

And I knocked myself over!(like Kramer!):rotfl2:

They've posted a TORNADO watch for the western part of the state; we're supposed to get a blast of cold air tonite, which will cool things off to around 80s tomorrow. Should be interesting around here later - I'm sure we'll get some boomers also.

Kara - Is your dog freaking out like this.......
3.gif

Yup, I can feel it in the air - storms are coming!
2.gif

(I'm having fun with my smileys! although I know these really aren't "smileys")

Actually he's shaking under my desk. Then follows me to the bathroom, the kitchen, if I would run around the couch he'd probably follow me there too!

I blame Debbie for this smilie kick you're on! ;)

Better watch it or I'll whip out the scorpion pics again!

We just had the loudest, closest, scariest lightning strike!!!! I think it was a power thingamabob just up the road. I'm sure Ally is freaking out right about now. I probably should have picked her up BEFORE the storm started. WEll, there goes my Mother of the Year Award!!! :rotfl2:
