Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

nap? yea that sounds good. my freind wants to hang out but I know if I do Ill end up using up my whole saturday and most of the night (she likes to party to midnight (and keep her kids up). Right now im trying to decide if I want to move my bed into my guest bedroom or not. Figure that the guest bedroom is smaller and eaiser to heat and then my huge bedroom can become my studio (photography, art, books) again, Great part there would be room for my desk (so it can come out of my living room). My big bedroom is twice the size of my living room, How creul is that?

Hi, Cammie!:hippie: Sorry you had a bad night, and I hope that Amanda isn't sick. I miss you!

Kara - How was your GNO? Somehow I suspect that you will have some good stories for us! I hope so!;)

Tammie - Will you knit or crochet your hat and scarve? Homemade is so much better than the store-bought!

Tina - I believe that we have those AG books you mentioned! I need to hunt them down in Taylor's book shelves! Tell us about your ticker! I hope that you haven't, and I am just having a memory lapse!

Lydia - Oct 27 - Oh, I get it now. Day you are making ADRs. I can be a little slow to catch on...

Erin - Sounds like you had a good lazy day! Great for you! I love those kind of pj days.

BabyB - Those were some great action pics! That's wonderful that you are training your sisters. Maybe you all could go into business some day. Reading about you moving furniture made me tired!

I did sneak in an hour nap today. Megan and I went to see Whip It - cute movie. We like Ellen Page, and loved Juno. We decided not to go to the band competition tonight, but will go next week, when it's closer, so it's just the three of us tonight, and we are wanting to head out to eat Mexican food. It's raining, cool and dreary, so Mexican sounds really good. We'll just find a good movie on cable when we get back. We have to go out and pick up the band kids about midnight. I did get my flu shot this afternoon. I will take (force) the girls to get them tomorrow. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!

I need to hop on tonight to check out Tina's GS link and see if Cammie beat up that person on Kara's TR!:rotfl2:

Yeah I went onto the GS link and I think it's good for October and Thanksgiving, but really didn't get anything past that. There's so many good sites out there gsleaders.org/files/index.htm or bdgsc.org/forms/default.aspx is a good one for every type of form possible, scoutingweb.com/ScoutingWeb/index.htm is an EXCELLENT resource. I'm exciting we're going to a Receipe with Ratatouille in a few weeks where we're going to make something and then eat it while we watch Ratatouille. FUN. We're going to a Brownie Quest workshop and a late night adventure at the Providence children's museum. I can't wait.

We saw Cloudy with a chance of meatballs today - very good movie! Funny. Picked up some small knitting needles to make a hat and mittens for AG dolls. Been asked to sew some friends' ballet shoes - what a job!! I'm going to start charging $20 to sew the straps onto the shoes. We're talking about ballet toe shoes and there's 6 straps that need to be sewed on. Two satin ribbons and two elastic straps so much work.

Just confirmed that the girls are going away with the Meme next weekend - FREEDOM! Don't get me wrong I love them, but peace for two days! Oh, the ticker - well DH agreed we'd wait until after Fantasyland is revamped and go back in 2013 so I'm setting my dates! Well I hope everyone is having a good night. Rainy and cold here. Enjoy your weekend.

So it's girls night and we're watching Harry Potter. FUN!

I took a nap gave up the moving funiture thing, Im gonna wait till the end of the month and let my mother assist me. Yea the kids are pretty good photographers, there getting cameras for christmas from santa.

You know you're old when it's 7:30pm on a Sat night, and you've already been out to eat, had a margarita, caught a buzz, went to 1/2 Price Books afterward, and are home, in your PJs, with a slight headache and dry mouth (from the alcohol), and are drinking a cup of coffee so you don't fall asleep before 9pm!

Meg is at band contest, Tay is 2 doors down at friend's house (she couldn't stand to be home w/us -- too boring, and didn't even want to go out to eat w/us, so what I described above was actually a date!:rotfl2:) , Darrin is watching tv in the living room, and I get the PC! Whoo, hoo!:dance3:

We are so exciting.

so all you folks with kids, or who are kids at heart:
What ya dressing up as for halloween?
I gave into being a princess in a white dress I bought like 8 years ago. Im gonna dress it up with a skimpy summer top over the top and a blue belt. Oh and the tiera I spent $6 on a claires! My dsis's are BOTH going as batgirl, tia (49) is going as my fairy godmother, and my mom as a navel avaitor. I think this is the FIRST year ever that were all dressing up and going out. I love trick or treating since tia "suggests" the girls share there candy (more like I reach in and steal some).

BabyB - My kiddos don't have their costumes yet. I was hoping to get them today, but we didn't. My younger daughter wants to be Dororthy from Wizzard of Oz. My older daughter, who is going to a concert that night, doesn't know yet. I haven't dressed up in years, but since Halloween is on a Sat this year, I just might! I will probably be a clown! I can wear my overalls and I have a rainbow clown wig from several years ago. I will just have to get make-up.

Your princess costume and the rest of your family's costumes, sound cute!

I am so excited! I just bought a lot of 40 trader WDW pins on eBay for $42.50, no shipping. We will each get 10 to trade and we won't have to buy any on this trip, unless we see a couple that we really like. I've never done that before, and don't like to trade because I love the ones I buy. I once saw one I wanted to trade, and had to buy the cheapest pin I could see at WDW to trade, and it wasn't that cheap! I tried bidding on 2 lots and lost, then won the 3rd! Whoo, hoo! (I'm easily amused.)

congrats on your pins love! thats so cool. One of my students went as dorthy last year. She was the one student we wanted to send to OZ!

Sounds like a good plan - it's always fun to rearrange things!:thumbsup2

Pam, I'm going to crochet - if it turns out, I'll post a pic! Now I have the idea that I'll make hats and scarves for the girls and babies for Christmas. Not sure if the "Texans" will need them. :confused3

Hubba Hubba! :lmao: Funny - here's a quote from one of my friends on FB tonight - "You know you're middle-aged when you're home at 8pm on Sat. and the phone rings and you hope it isn't for you!" :rotfl2:

congrats on your pins love! thats so cool. One of my students went as dorthy last year. She was the one student we wanted to send to OZ!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I totally get the teacher humor, having lived with 2 of them!

I had a fun party tonight - when I left it was raining so hard I could hardly see the road for the first 20 miles, then it slowed down a bit. I hope it stops raining for our train ride tomorrow,

Despite contrary belief, us Texans like to look stylish, too! We do have the occasional cold days. I think that you should make them, and that they would be greatly appreciated! There is really some beautiful yarn and great patterns out there. We go in spurts on crocheting around here. Little projects are my fave. We've recently made Starbucks coffee koozies, cell phone cases and coin sacks -- projects you can complete while watching a movie. I can't wait to see your completed projects!

That is true, too!:rotfl:

:rotfl2: That's funny!

Thanks!! Darrin and the girls were not nearly excited as I was about my pins purchase. Sometimes I think that these people cannot be related to me. They do not get nearly as excited about our trips as I do. I was going to wait until the girls get up and let one of them cross today off of the countdown calendar, but with that thought, I think that I would get much more enjoyment out of it!:headache:

Hiya all,

Pam, Tammie - in that case I am SOOOOOOO middle aged tooo! :goodvibes
Last "date" night - our 10th anniversary - we went out to eat and afterwards had to go for a drive for a half hour to stop us being embarrassingly early for the babysitter!! As it was we got home just after 10, used to be we could be out til 3, get home and drink/chat til dawn..... now it's cocoa at 9 with "House" on tv. saaaaaadddd....

Thanks for all the good wishes, you all lift my spirits on here, I never found a thread that felt so homely and just "right".:grouphug:

We are so exciting.

Yeah, but at least you have a husband. ;)

But actually I think I enjoy being home alone on Saturday nights more than I liked being home with my ex. I don't have to share the wine, the remote, and when I go to bed - it's to sleep.

We had Lauren's friend stay with us this weekend while her mom took the older sister to look at a college. Kind of annoyed - the mom NOT ONCE contacted me throughout the whole weekend. I had no idea if she was picking her daughter up Saturday night or Sunday morning. She just texted her daughter all weekend with the plans. Found that a little rude.

HI to everyone this fine day. And I meant to give a warm welcome to the newbie - babyb! I know I haven't been on in awhile but welcome to our thread!:flower3:

I get insanly excited when I find new hardrock pins. I love to buy cheap ones (that are pretty) and trade them at the cafes.

Amen, sistah!

Oh and I forgot to mention girls..................Lauren had her first school dance on Friday night. Their first as cool 8th graders.

She danced with the boy she's crushing on.

A slow dance.

And she told me, no - they didn't leave room for the "Holy Ghost".

This gives me a stomachache.

So Im currious, Were going to washigtion dc. Im making travel journals off the mouse for less. On there adult page they have some pages for other destinations which I was going to use, BUt I also like the disney ones. What should I use?

Hey girls!

Still don't have my crap together, but I did want to say hi tonight. I'm adjusting to school, but I seriously don't know why all of a sudden I'm about 10 hours short on time each day!

It seems like my to-do list is out of control! SO MUCH SO that I haven't even really done much planning for the trip, but of course I got our ADRs done. :goodvibes

I haven't caught up, but hope all is well.

Miss you guys!

Had a great weekend up north...we all spent the night at my FILs cottage at Lake Winnesquam. I did some damage at the outlets (new Coach bag and Skecher Shape Ups!) and had some quality fmaily time with Dh and kids. It was nice. We are planning to go up again next weekend, while the foliage peaks. I love New England!

I am designing some Mickey head paper countdown chains-you ladies will have to let me know what you think.

Cammie- I think I would love a Saturday night alone LOL. That sounds so nice a bottle of wine to myself the clicker and being able to fall asleep when I want. :cloud9: Glad Lauren had a great time at her dance she is getting so grown up. :cutie: How's Miss Amanda? How are you? The weather here is getting a bit crazy. We are going apple picking Sunday and then to the topsfield fair.

Pam- If Luca is in bed at 7:30 count me in. I love my sleep and would love to sleep past 7am. So are you calling me old :rotfl2: just kidding. Yea on the the pins maybe I will have to do that so Monkey can have a good selection to trade.

Tammie- How are things going? How was the spa party? can you come live by me I will have spa parties all the time :goodvibes

Well girls the plans keep changing..... I need help planning this trip

So we are going at peak season which is OK because we have the 4/7 deal but we are thinking of going without the dining plan this year. It just doesn't seem like it will be worth it. I will have to plan things out a bit better, but who knows.
Now my sister is going and my SIL has invited herself but she's still not sure. I never mind my sister aka monkey she is such a big help and she really appreciates it.

So here is the issue stay ON property or OFF? I was thinking one of those houses would be nice with the private pool so the kids can come home and relax? Then I would be cooking so

LORRIE!!!! How the heck are you? Glad to hear from you. I've been MIA from the thread myself. We need to check in here more often. Don't be a stanger.

Jillian - it kills me that Lauren is in 8th grade. This boy she danced with may now be asking her out - whatever that means. She told me she will text me as soon as school was dismissed today to let me know. But she is walking on air over the possibility. Which concerns me a bit. I don't like my daughter liking a boy THAT much. ;)

Amanda is doing fine. She just had that one bad day; never developed into anything else. Teenagers.

I hope you're feeling better these days. As for this upcoming Disney trip........my $.02 - I know it's cheaper to stay off property. I know you get bigger accommadations. BUT - I could never do it. It just wouldn't feel like being on vacation for me. The thing I love about going to WDW is being totally submerged in all things Disney.

Plus, I think once you've stayed ON property; it's hard to stay off.

Ok, I'm off to the gym. Getting a really late start today. Have a good one everybody!
