Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

Debbie, how did Matthew's appt go? I'm sure it is just a swollen lymph node, just like you thought - they react like that when you're fighting illness.

Tina, you had an interesting day for sure!

Kara, how are you doing?

Erin! That was so cute - thanks for sharing!

Oh.My.God!

Hey we got our magical express passes in the mail today - so exciting!!!

not as exciting as seeing/meeting the Jonas bros, but it's up there.

More pix tomorrow ladies - sorry.

As for the meet & greet pix with the Jonas Brothers: they weren't taken with my camera. They have a photog. who takes them for you; then I go to the site and download. They are not up yet; so will have to wait until tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone! Off to see Elton and Billy!

Great minds think alike Erin! lol

So, who has read the Twilight books? I read the first one in 2 days and my friend just dropped off books 2-4 yesterday at 3pm - I'm already done with the second one! I'm so totally hooked!!!!!

OMG I am so jealous!!!! Your camera took great shots! Can't wait to see more! I think our seats were in the exact same spot as yours accept we were row N. Was the rain & lovebug on your side? What about the lift? I have to admit I have a new crush on those boys. Last year I found them very boyish...I liked them in a motherly kind of way and now after that concert I view them in a manly kind of light! LOL I am so glad they aren't straightening there hair and are playing it so cool..... Seriously! Wow! I was impressed!

THX Tammie...Matthew is fine. The doctor agreed it was better to be safe then sorry but he said he was fine! Yeah!

Kara...hope you are on the mend .....

.......and to the rest of you gals.."HI!!!" hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hi girls! I'll be back to check in - maybe tomorrow. We moved some of my office furniture back to my office today - we watched a movie and we just called the kids on Skype a little bit ago! That was fun! The babies thought we were on tv and they just wanted to sit and watch us!:lmao:

Yeah, I'm home - and I'm slightly pissed. My birthday, enjoying the concert and................my friend was in the bathroom throwing up! WTH? She said it was something she ate but, umm NO - we both ate the same thing and I was fine. We had to leave early; saw all of Elton and 1/2 of Billy. And, of course, I've seen Elton before in concert and never saw Billy so I was really enjoying myself. Grrrrrrr! What I saw was really good though.

Onto happier thoughts - I leave with one more pic. I had posted this on my tr. And Debbie - we were on the Lovebug side, or as I like to call it - the JOE side - 7th row. So great!

More to come tomorrow!

Cammie..... Us too!!!! We lucked out didn't we! We deserved those seats! THX for the pix and sorry about last night! Now just pray you don't get it!

Tammie...cool seeing the babies that way! Modern technology....what next!

Debbie - No worries, I won't get it because what she had was "ICan'tHandleMyAlcohol-asitis". She's claiming food poisoning because she's embarassed. I'm sure of it.

The concert was at Gillette Stadium - where the Patriots play. Adjacent to the stadium is an area called Patriot Place. Has a ton of restaurants and shops. The concert was schedulled to start at 7:30 so we got down there @ 5pm to have some drinks and dinner. Within those two and half hours, we both had 3 margaritas. Not the giant Outback steakhouse-size margs., they were small; but whatever. On the walk over to the stadium, she made a comment that those drinks had hit her hard but then she orders a 24oz. Coronoa once we get to our seats. At one point during Elton John's set, I look at her and her eyes are closed! I knew she was drunk. She then left to go to the ladies room and was gone for about a half hour. I kept texting and calling her but got no response; I knew she must have been puking. (visions of college passed through my mind) Finally, about 5 songs into Billy Joel's set, she texts me that she's not feeling well. Now -- here's when I turn into a not-so-nice friend: I texted that I was coming but then Billy started to play "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant".

I stayed and listened to the song.:rolleyes1

After that, I got to her and she still wasn't feeling well; she just looked wasted. I suggested we leave early because I knew once the concert was over, it would take forever to get out of there and I didn't want to deal with this drunk person for a long ride home. So yeah, I missed most of Billy's set and I'm annoyed. He was really good. It will be interesting to see if she expects me to pay for the ticket. I'm going to wait for her to bring it up.

Oh, and did I mention this is the same mom who made fun of the Jonas Brothers in front of Lauren a few weeks ago? I know stuff happens, but what ticks me off is that this friend often brags about how she goes out and parties when she's away on business - likie doing shots all night long. I always found those stories hard to believe and now, after last night, I definitely don't.

Anyway, on to better news...................our meet and greet pix are up!:yay: I've downloaded to my computer and will post them here shortly. I'll also be posting lots of pix on my trip report so check out there too!

Ok, so the meet and greet pix are up - and they DID take three of us! Lord - I didn't even realize that was happening! I think if I did, I would have suggested changing up positions! (you'll see what I mean) But, according to Lauren, who has examined each of these pix very closely, they are different. :lmao:

But first, I'll post what we looked like before we left. I posted these pix on my trip report, and will probably do a mini-tr over on that, with full details and many more pix. Go check it out ladies!

Yes, they're adorable. And we love them. We are fans for life.:banana::lovestruc:yay:

Oh and yes, that is a fanny pack on Joe. As you'll see from the pix I'll be posting from soundcheck, evidently the band has dress-up theme days on Fridays and the fanny pack was part of his costume. I guess he liked it so much, he decided to keep it.

Cammie - very excited about the pictures - my only problem was WHY WAS YOUR DAUGHTER WEARING A YANKEES SHIRT!!!!!!! Just kidding! You guys must have been so excited!!

I think your friend is not very nice about that. I'd give her a telling what for.

:cool1::cool1::cool1: LOVE IT!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: What cuties! Lauren looks like she's wearing a tiara!:love:

Sorry about your "sick" friend.:sad2:

Oh, and did I mention this is the same mom who made fun of the Jonas Brothers in front of Lauren a few weeks ago?

Uh, what comes around goes around? I would be mad, too!!! I was totally the opposite on the DISmoms trip - I was soooo afraid of partying too hard and ending up the same way - it was so comfortable that I could have done that, so I purposely paced myself. It's called being a grownup - tell your friend that! :lmao:

But first, I'll post what we looked like before we left. I posted these pix on my trip report, and will probably do a mini-tr over on that, with full details and many more pix. Go check it out ladies!

O M G !!!!!!

Tell Lauren she looked great!!!! You didn't look half bad yourself! ;) Ally will be so excited to see these pics when she gets home!!!! And I think I have a new appreciation for those boys, too, after seeing these pics!!! So so so jealous!!!!!

Oh, and now my guilty secret - I'm going cougar on one of our lifeguards here. OK, not really, but y'all should see this boy!!!! And yes, I do say boy - don't know how old he is, maybe 17 or 18, but so pretty!!!! And he's one of the assistant swim team coaches so I get to see him in all his glory. Jeff just laughs at me! So pathetic - this mid life crisis stuff is so pathetic! :rotfl2:

Just got back from the doc and my bp is back to normal 121/79. I was so nervous going in though, even though I did NOTHING all weekend! I literally stayed in bed all day Saturday and just watched TV, surfed the net, and read the Twilight books. Can I just say I am hooked on Twilight and going to hunt the movie tonight???? I have read the first 3 books since Tuesday night. And already started the 4th. I think that got my cougar instincts going! :lmao:

Cammie, I'm sooooo sorry I forgot your bday!!!!

Happy Monday!

Well my morning started off with the girls fighting over DD7's new birthday present. Please! DD10 asked if she could bring her DS to Abacus today so she would have something to do, I said no - I didn't pay to have her sit on her butt and play DS all summer. So we get to Abacus and drop DD7 off at her group with hellos in all directions and she's happy. Then we go to DD10's group and no one even makes a move when she walks in. I look around - all the kids have DSs. She kisses me goodbye and then walks over to the game area looking for something to do. It really made me sad, I actually teared up on the ride to work. I prayed that someone would come and see how great of a kid she is and be her friend.

This age is so tough because girls are trying to be like everyone else in order to be accepted, but those who don't want to be like that are outsiders. Unfortunately they don't understand that by being true to themselves will make them stronger when they're older.
