Hello All,
First time poster, long time reader (if you consider 5 months a long time). anyway, DW and myself have been planning our Disney trip (w/ DD6 and DD9) for a long time. We are all planned and reserved to go in June (except for the ME tags :confused3 ). We are staying 7 days at the BC with the Dining Plan.

We have a fairly detailed dining plan and I finally worked up the courage to open my dining plan to critique. You can find it here:

My analysis shows that I am saving at least $270. Comments please. Thanks.

Your plan looks very nice--you're hitting all the "biggies" in my family's book. Great savings too!

You may save some more money--I wouldn't be surprised if you can make do with very little or no lunch on days when you have a big bfast and big dinner planned. Disney portions are huge--and in the heat we don't always eat so much. So, you may not have as many out of your pocket CS meals as you think.

For MK counter service I highly recommend Columbia House or Casey's. Casey's have the best hot dogs and I don't even like hot dogs. Our last trip during MVMCP it was the only thing we could get into so I had to eat one. I'm actually putting it on our list of places to eat for our next trip.

For AK CS - Flame Tree BBQ is our favorite. It's so good. And huge portions to me.

You'll love Rose and Crown. They have a great menu and it's so good. The fruit and cheese platter is really good. Just be aware about the patio and viewing. Last time we were there they would not guarantee patio seating or to be able to view the show. Also I saw one guy tell the lady he would wait for one to open and she told him if he did then he would lose his PS and be on the walk-in list which was about an hour wait.

On the morning you don't have PSs for breakfast I highly recommend going over to the Broadwalk Bakery. We stay at BCV and the bakery is so close. U Usually my dH and I will go there to get a bunch a muffins, bagels, pastries for everyone. It's great. They are so good.

Also Beach Club just opened up a new Marketplace. It was sandwiches, pastries, coffees, salads, and desserts. Also someone mentioned on here the other day that you can fill up the refillable mugs here.

Your plan looks awesome. Oh and I love your spreadsheet. I would never tell this to anyone but dis people, I have an excel spreadsheet with our meal breakdown. Oh and I have until Dec. and I already started it.

I love all the suggestions. Keep em coming. After reviewing some of the food pictures on the this site, I'm thinking who could eat all of that. I love breakfast, so the character breakfasts are a win-win for me and the kids.

The clam bake is for the DW, the rest of us will have to make due that night.
I am a little nervous about the Rose and Crown. If we don't get seating on the patio, I would just as happy to eat fish and chips from counter service.

We have a late PS for Rose and Crown for Illuminations. We are thinking it will be for dessert and if we can't get a patio seat, we are going to cancel and just find a place to watch the show. Infact, we might just skip it anyway and find a place to watch. When I was at Epcot several years ago, we watched Illuminations from Rose and Crown. It was nice, but not if you have to be inside.

I'm not sure when you are going in June, but when i went to change my ressie from 6/7 to 6/6 the CM told me the Cape May Cafe was closed the week of 6/05 for refurbishing & someone should have called me to that fact?? I was very disappointed because my DH loves clams!!!

Everything else looks great....I can't wait until we go just for all the delicious food!!!

torjormom,
You scared me. I just called the Reservation Center and the person I spoke with said that she hadn't heard that the Cape May Cafe would be closed. Can you call and confirm again please?
