We are in the early stages of planning a road trip for next January. This would be our first time making the drive... We have 2 young dd's, 2 & 4.
My initial plan of action is to leave Md around 3:30 am, and drive until about 7:30 am or so and look for a chickfila or other fast food restaurant with an indoor play area, so the girls could run around for a little while.
I wanted to be back on the road aruond 9:00 am and then drive until around lunchtime, hoping to find a chuckecheese where they could unwind and eat.
Back on the road by 2:00 and drive until dinner / hotel around 6:00, so we can all get a good nights sleep.
I'm hoping on day 1 to be able get to get in about 11 hrs driving time, so that the next day is only about 4-5 hrs.
We will be traveling Route 13 south through VA, then on to 66, eventually hitting 95 south around NC.
Has anyone visited a chuck e cheese or chickfila along that route? I'm excited to check out some websites and try to plan it out!
TIA!
