looking for budget dinosaur birthday items

my ds (5), going to be 6, wants to have a dinosaur birthday party. anyone have any great budget websites that they order party supplies from? tia!!

Years ago - DD had a dino birthday - I got all of her party stuff from Oriental Trading... one of the most popular activities was the "excavation" - we put large Dino floor puzzle pieces in a wading pool that we filled with sand. We split the kids in two teams - they used paint brushes to brush the sand off the pieces - when they found a piece - they handed off to another team member to start assembling the puzzle. The kids wanted to do it over and over.

Check at the party stores like Factory Card Outlet for dino themed things. Ours is reasonably affordable.

Try googling dino party ideas and you should find a ton of stuff. If you do the wading pool sand idea...make sure you have an additional activity for the kids who aren't interested because you could possibly have some with no interest.

Hide and seek dinos....hide dinos around the house or room you will be in and let the kids seek them out. Use a variety of colored dinos/sized dinos...have dino themed prizes for those who find the dinos.

Try this website. They have some closeout stuff. Also, my mom saw some really cool dino stuff at the dollar store. We did a dino party 2 years ago and got our stuff at Pat Catan's. They now have the same stuff at the dollar store. I'll post a picture later when I find them.

Our Dollar Tree sometimes has dino decorations and paper goods.

I 2nd that you should check out the Dollar Tree for party favors, plastic cups,plates, silverware. Also great for cheap party favors. Another place might be Big Lots. We have a store called the paper shack that you can get "theme" stuff for decorations; balloons too.

Yes dollar tree! My ds had a Dino party two years in a row and dollar tree had lots if stuff.

Check Michael's Craft store for dinos, see if you can get a "set" with a coupon.

I would go to the dollar store for decorations. I would stick to plain colours (green, red etc...) for plates/napkins. You could also check the dollar store or Walmart in case they have anything specifically dinosaur themed.

A website I like that has a lot of toys and themed items is oriental trading company. You can get great stuff for goody bags and whatnot. Consider ordering extra things for halloween or Christmas stockings so you can save on shipping and be a bit ahead of the game!

We did a dino party two years ago and used the Oriental Trading stuff. The kids loved the sticker scenes and foam dino masks!
