Our original plan was to go to MK, watch Spectro, then dine @ CG. Now, we've decided to go to MK to watch Spectro & Wishes next Sat. My DH, DS, & DS's GF won't want to see it twice that close together. Also, the recent reviews & menu changes @ CG are making me question that ADR. CG is a lot of money to get an avg. meal. Plus, one person in our party doesn't eat sushi at all, & the rest may or may not be in the mood for it. In other words, sushi is something we can live w/o. ;) So, I'm looking for arrival night ideas. We have APs, so any park is fine. Restaurant location doesn't really matter to us either. What we do want is a memorable 1st night, combining attractions & wonderful food (no character meals, buffets, etc.). The only restaurant I can think of off the top of my head that we probably won't want to go to is Flying Fish. Our meal there in Oct. was less than fabulous, so we're going to skip it for the next few trips. Thanks in advance for the suggestions. :)

What about O'hana? A table in the grill room is fun, plus the food is good.

How about Rose and Crown at Epcot? Timed to see the fireworks while you dine.
