Parasailing...

I'm looking for anyone who might know when you're able to book a parasailing time. Someone told me 6 months, just curious if anyone knows if this is right or not? If not, when?? I'm 155 days out haha, and with having made my ADRs I'm afriad of not making my parasailing ressies early enough. :goodvibes
Thanks for any help you can give!!

when I called they said it books every half hour, and you can book the day b4 if you want to, its usually not filled up. Pretty pricey for me, I was thinking of doing a tandem flight with my dd 10 but I decided we`ll do soarin instead, thats free! I`d rather spend the money on souvineers!

While normally I would agree, here I can't. I'm from Newfoundland, Canada and parasailing is something that just isn't done here and have never seen it done in the atlantic proviences period. This is a crazy trip for me and my friend and both are dying to try. :flower: So considering we'll never probably do it again, at least not for years to come, we're going all out on this trip. :)

I can't say how parasailing is at Disney but if it is half as much fun as when I did it in Mexico it will be worth it. I was surprised that I felt as comfortable and safe as I did.I am slightly afraid of heights but had a great time.

DH has done it at WDW and is looking forward to doing it again...Birnbaums book says Reservations can be made up to 90 days ahead....call 407-939-0754....call now and the CM can tell you if it's too early to call, and when you should call back!

HAVE FUN!

I just went parasailing at the Contemporary a few weeks ago. I didn't make any reservations - I just waited for a nice day and stopped over (after hurricane Wilma left). I got there at about 12:30 and they scheduled me for 2:00. So I can't tell you anything about booking it in advance but maybe you'll time it just right like I did. It's a lot of fun - you'll love it!!

For those who have done this: Can two folks ride in the boat while two folks do the parasailing? There are four of us....if two of us (hubby and DS) do this, DD & I won't just have to stand on the dock will we? I was hoping we could ride in the boat.

Yes, you'll be fine. There's plenty of room on the boat so you'll be able to go along for the ride and watch them. Make sure you take a camera to get some shots of your husband and son. I also took along a disposable camera and got some shots when I was up in the air.

Was there someone on the boat to take pictures for you as well? When my mom did it in St. Petes someone was on the boat taking pics and she was able to pay for them after, just curious if that happens at Disney too. Either way one of us will have a camera as well, but be nice to have someone else too.

No, they don't take an 'official' photo of you parasailing. But I left my camera on the boat and asked them to take some pictures of me while I was up in the air and they took some great shots.

i have never parasailed in disney world but my husband and i did it in australia and LOVED IT!

you will have so much fun.
