OK- first of all, I have become slightly obsessed with DISigns... every time I think I am done- I get a new idea going :) From touring cards, to personalized journals, to autograph books, tshirts, treat & candy bags & toppers, Pressed pennies... the list keeps growing. I finish one project, and a new one hits me!!!!

So here is my latest... My kids absolutely love collecting the various cards CM's hand out (ie: Monorail Pilot, Indy Speedway Drivers license). And I came across the awesome Test Track DISign... Cool. So I made those. THEN- I came across the very cool "I survived Space Mountain" Design, and I made little cards of those. Well, if I have 2 parks covered... I need the other two right?? :)

So here is my request: Does anyone already have a DISign template, or an idea for an "I survived" or Drivers License for Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom?

(Ummmmm.... my husband just read over my shoulder, rolled his eyes and walked away... LOL)

Thanks everyone!

OK- well, I am getting some ideas going on on my own :)--

Will post pics after I finish this latest project!

I have a Mt. Everest Certificate in my 4shared file that you could present to them after making it through the ride in AK. It is in the "drivers license - certificate" file. I made the certificate 5x7 inches so that you could get two on a page. You may want to laminate it so that it can weather the parks, a backpack, etc.

You can insert the certificate into a word document then insert several textboxes over the image to add the wording. Here is a thread if you need instructions:

I actually made this for a b-day party where they were going to learn how to "rock climb", and used slightly different wording. They had teams and designed team flags for when they made it to the top of the rock climbing wall.

I also have pirate and princess certificates in my 4shared file for anyone that can use them at Disney or for birthdays. The pirate is in the same file as the Mt. Everest certificate and the princess things are in the "mickeys grand welcome" file and the "princess grand welcome" subfile.

Who makes the "I survived Space Mountain" certificate?

Just so you know...my husband did a lot of hem and hawing over our trip too, and was a little bit fussy about all of my planning and the things that I made. But after the trip was over...he thanked me for making it so special for our family. Hopefully yours will see the big picture once it is over too.

Of course now that I still spend time helping others on the Boards...he still hems and haws.

Glad that you liked the ideas. I have been wanting to make a "I defeated Zurg" cerfiticate for Toy Story/Space Ranger Spin...but I have just never gotten around to it.

Ohhhhh!! That's a great idea!!! Hmmm....maybe in my free (?????) time!!!

And your husband sounds like a great guy! My husband teases, but then I hear him talk to his mom on the phone, and you can hear the pride in his voice, which in turn, makes me swell with pride :)

I love posts like this!! I dont have the ability to design them, but do have a few ideas. another idea you may have thought about already is to use these as a "laminate" badge that you can attach to their pin lanyards. i have used this in the past and it's a great, practical way to be creative and have fun!

Hollywood

-"Behind the scenes" crew member/director badge/credentials (with mickey in a director hat?)
-Walk of fame pink granite star with their name (minnie with sunglasses?)

Animal kingdom

-Everest expeidition "junior adventurer" badge (disney character in climbing gear?)

-"Safari van" drivers license (with a safari hat mickey/Donald?)

I would love to see the other designs you have already done too! I'm always looking for new ideas to show off our disney love!!

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!

Mel- LOVE LOVE LOVE the safari license! SO COOL!

Dolly- OK- Love the Junior Explorers .... have started working on some concepts- will share when I have the finished product

jkshel- you read my mind :)- I love some of the ideas you came up with! Am totally doing the Star, and have to try the others! Awesome!

So I don't have a picture yet- but what is very similar to what jkshel said.
Right now I have 17 cards (ie: ToT, Splash Mtn, Haunted Mansion, Jedi Training, Official Pirates, EE, Test Track, Soarin...) That I personalized with their name, and mounted on card stock & Laminated, and punched a hole. Then as we go through the parks, they will "earn" a new card to hang on their lanyard- When they ride SM, they get the SM card, etc. (Of course there is an ulterior motive on my side- the more they focused on the 25 cent card I made them, the less likely they are to focus on that really COOL GIFT SHOP!!! LOL :rotfl:

The first card is a beautiful DISign rustmanfan made with the castle, and all of our names on it (ummm... 16 people!!!). Then they will "earn" their ride cards, and then I have a card for each park to get at the end of the day, and the last card for the last day says Thank you Walt Disney for the memories... (Yep, little tear right there :))

I am pretty excited about this idea! It's coming together nicely! Will post pics when they are finished (yeah- let's see we leave next Friday morning... Pictures should be up Thursday at midnight!!!)

I'm sure you have seen it...but I have tomorrowland speedway license too in my 4shared. I can't wait to see all of the ones you make! Don't forget that EPCOT does this as well. You get a lanyard and then at different areas the kids are given things to hang from the tag on the lanyard.

I love this idea! We are taking my nephew to Disney next year for his first 'real' trip. (He was there for one day at about 10 months but of course doesn't remember any of it so he thinks this is his first trip). We will only be doing DHS and MK but I love the idea of presenting him with these cards as he completes each ride.

Subscribing to this thread for sure!

WOW this sounds like an awesome idea for me to do with my neice when we go in December!!

Where can I find these cards for each ride already designed so I can just print?

Thanks!!

Looks GREAT!!! I can't wait for the rest!!!

I am getting so excited!!! This is such a great idea!!!

Subscribing! Wow! More and more incredible ideas - I just keep coming across them. :yay:

Does anyone have more info about the Epcot Lanyard that was mentioned earlier in this thread?
