My son had a sledding accident yesterday and is hobbling around with crutches. We don't think anything is broken ... just badly bruised knee and generally banged up. He is wearing a leg brace. We leave for Disney on Saturday.

Do you have any advice for us?

TIA

Walk gently, watch the crutch use for arm numbness caused by leaning on them too much or use canes instead, ice often, wheelchair in evening. :cloud9:

I would stronlgy suggest, depending on his age and size, renting either a wheelchair or special needs or regular stroller for him. If you have to go with a stroller stop by Guest Relations for a "Stroller as Wheelchair" GAC and sticker. bring a couple of bungee cords to strap the crutches to the chair.

Most people tend to travel 8-12 miles per day at WDW parks, trying to do that on crutches would be torture.
