Ok, so here is the scoop.

DW and I are taking our DD11 and DD6 to WDW in the middle of august. Kids do not know we are going yet. We are staying onsite at WDW for 9 nights, and have 8 park days available. We had originally planned on just doing WDW and the water parks.

BUT my DD11 who is a huge Harry Potter fan has been raving about how cool it would be to go to WWoHP (remember she doesn’t even know we’re going to WDW). So now we have to include a trip to IOA. Our flights and rooms are already booked so extending the trip is not feasible. I am trying to figure out if we should go to both IOA and US, and if for 1 or 2 days.
:confused3

Here is a quick breakdown on our interests. DW and I both enjoy the Thrill rides. DD11 went on all the rides at WDW 5 years ago, but she does not really like Thrill rides, and would not ride the big ones at US (she would ride the potter coaster though). DD6 is fearless and will ride anything they will let her on, but she is only 45”.

I would like some of your thoughts on if we should go 1 or 2 days, and or one or both parks.:surfweb:

Two days is normally recommended to explore Universal and I'm sure your family will find plenty to do at both parks. Check out the website and see what your family might be interested in riding and then decide if it's worth it to do the Studios. If not, just concentrate on one day at IOA.

I would make a list of rides and shows that sound appealing to you. Then you can best judge how long it will all take.

Don't forget to add time for dining and shopping!

Absolutely do one day at each park. My kids are 4 and 7 and they have been to US 3x and LOVE it.
