hi all! hope you dont mind but i thought you guys could give me the best advice.
i am planning to go back to disney world in august of 2003. it will be me, my DS (who will be 7), and possibly my next door neighbor. she is where the advice comes in. she will be turning 15 yrs old right after we get back from disney. as you can see my DS is still young so i have no idea what would interest a teenage girl. so do you have any advice for me??

thanks in advance.

Hmmm- that's sorta like my family- I'm thirteen and my brother is Seven. We just did almost everything, but at times we had to slip up fo a little while(a little whiled turned into two hours once b/c me and my dad decided to go on a splash mountain and wait on the two hour line)so that my brother and mom went on some of the littler rides (peter Pan, ect.)while me and my dad went off the space, thunder, and splash mountain. I dunno if this helps, but I hope it does!:)

I would agree with Metsgirl. It might be good for yall to split up some, then everyone could do what they wanted. But if this is your neighbors first time to WDW, she might find it fun to go on all the "little kids rides". I will be 15 in about a week and still loving going on the little rides every once in a while! :) It probably wont even matter what all you do and if its perfect planning, you will all have fun just because of being in Disney! :)

i want to try to avoid splitting up. it will only be the three of us. so i will be the only adult and i dont want her to be wandering around by herself.

as for the big kid rides, my DS is pretty big and LOVES thrill rides. the only problem we might have will be rockin roller coaster. he may not be tall enough.

this will be her first time. any suggestions on something special i can do??

OK, that works out even better! Since its her first time- you might want to spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom- I think it has, how do I put it, the most "Disney Spirit" If you get what I mean. Since your son can go on big rides- you don't have to worry about the baby-swap or anythign like that. And if your son isn't tall enough for a ride- its ok, because there are a lot of other great rides!:)

well im 15 and my bro is 9..so i can kinda help

WDW is great fun! :)
I agree....spend time a lot of time at MK,but dont forget MGM and Epcot...more thrill rides are there...AK is ok its mostly animals but its still really cool! :)

special...hmmm.
-let her pick a character breakfast or somewhere she really wants to eat
-you could celebrate her bday early! just go get a birthday pin and if they ask if her bday is that day so it will be in like a week...i have heard a lot about people celebrating early! :)
-ask her to put input to where she wants to stay

Last time I was at Disney, my cousin was there and he was around the age of 8. He had a ton of fun with me (14) We hung out on a lot of the thril rides. He even goes on rides i refuse to go on. So what ever intrest anyone works for just about everyone. That's the best part of Disney.:)
