Looking for advice on booking Disney Cruise

Here's my situation:

I'm planning to take my family on a Disney Cruise in May 2009. My Use Year begins in March. I'll have 450 points to use towards that trip if I use 2008, 2009 and 2010 points. But I'll still need 46 points to book the trip. Question: Do the 46 points, I'm hoping to acquire through a transfer, need to be from the 2008 Use Year? If so, can members transfer points from their 2008 use year before they're in it? One last question, can 2008 tranferred points be banked?

Why not just pay cash for that last person? Why go to all the trouble of finding someone to transfer with?

I've never transferred points - so I can't answer the question you posted. Sorry. I was just curious about your approach. From my seat it seems like you're doing it the hard way.

Could you book it for entirely cash instead and rent or transfer YOUR points to other people? You'd come out ahead, I'd bet.
