Me and my husand are looking to have a night out alone! What are your suggestions for a nice romantic dinner and something fun to do afterwards. We are not really "club" people, however we do enjoy having a few drinks at the bar. We also love comedy clubs....give me some ideas??

For a nice, romantic dinner, I suggest either Emeril's at Citywalk, or Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the RPR. Both restaurants usually require a reservation.

For something fun to do, I suggest the dueling piano bar at Pat O-Brien's at Citywalk. Get there early to get a table, because it becomes standing room only later in the evening.

I suggest the Palm for Dinner at the Hard Rock, and afterwards a couple of cocktails at the Velvet Bar on the Balcony overlooking the pool, is a nice way to enjoy each others company.;)

For a romantic dinner, head to the Portofino and eat at one of the restaurants there. Maybe you'll time it right and there will be people singing in Italian. And then you could head to the bar (I forget the name) for a few drinks.

If you prefer to stay at Citywalk, Cigarz is the bar you can head to.

For a great comedy club, you'll have to travel. Sak Comedy Lab in downtown Orlando (exit 83B from I-4, IIRC) is 100% improv and 100% funny.

That sounds really nice! :thumbsup2

We typically eat @ Margarittaville or Nascar (can't say it's romantic lol)...

afterwards for drinks/dancing, we like Bob Marley's, mellow vibe & red stripe;)

it's set up to look like his house, tables for dining revert over to clubing later in the evening, effect that you are sitting outside listening to band at his house, very cool imo

:woohoo: We'll be eating there tomorrow evening!

The singers you are referring to are The Musica Della Notte singers. They perform evey night about sunset on the balcony over Sal's market Deli. It is really nice, and something every visitor to Universal should try and enjoy.

Lucky you !:thumbsup2 I wish I could join you.:)

:)

Just last month, my wife ate at one in Denver and liked it. Originally, I only booked it because it was a 1000 point dinner on opentable. Listening to the positive reviews here, I think I made a good choice.

You made a very good choice, as I'm sure your wife will attest. Although it is a bit pricey, I feel you get your money's worth. It is phenomenal.
