Hi everyone and thanks for any advice you can offer.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about Flying Fish chef's table?

We are doing an adult only trip(6 of us) at the end of September for my husband's 60th birthday and I wanted to make reservations for a place we haven't eaten (not many left).

I am allergic to shell fish so I'm hoping they do steak or chicken in addition to the fish and or seafood dishes. My husband is a huge fan of seafood so I was hoping the restaurant could accommodate his tastes and my allergy.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

hmmmm - all opinion on my part.....

First thing: Is your husband a FISH fish person, or a SHELL fish person? Here is why I ask....

FF is an absolutely WONDERFUL place for FISH fish (and they also have steak & chicken offerings). For SHELL fish - I would consider Fulton's Crab House (which ALSO has steak & chicken, I think). Now, depending on the severity of that allergy... you MAY want to avoid Fulton's?

I just changed my family's reservation in August from the Chef's Table to a regular seat at Flying Fish. After speaking with several people, they said if you aren't wine fanatics it might not be worth it. Also, two people told me they were still hungry when they left and ended up getting lobster rolls at the boardwalk bakery on their way out.

I'm sure the chefs will accommodate any food allergies you have either way.

In line with @ProTraderColin 's comment, I canceled our Chef's Table ADR and booked a regular ADR for FF last trip since we're not wine people. Still, I'm sure they can accommodate you if you stick with a Chef's Table ADR. We were chatting with the couple seated next to us at that meal, she was recently diagnosed with a shellfish allergy, and there were plenty of things for her to eat. In general, Disney is wonderful with food allergies (our older daughter has food allergies), and I'm sure - especially at a Chef's Table - that they'd do everything to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience.

Thank you all for the advice. My husband loves anything that comes out of the ocean. It's a genetic predisposition - he's Norwegian and Portugese.

He's not a big fan of wine but the rest of us are. Guess I'll just have to suck it up and drink his. We thought that after the dinner we'd wander around F+W and enjoy the twinkling lights around WS.

Flying Fish it will be - we've already eaten at Fulton's and it was my backup plan if Flying Fish couldn't accommodate my food allergy.
