Looking for a truck

Oh yeah, and Maryland isn't TOO far from Jersey--tell him to come up to Englishtown on July 24th...My Ford/Mustang club is having a big car show ;)

Thank you all for your great advice and opinions on the truck issue. Unfortunately during our many truck searching trips DS discovered his new found love of the Mustang. So after more searching we found the perfect one. I love it myself! It is a 2001 Mustang GT 2 dr coupe, V-8 5 speed stick. He was looking for a black one and we found one in perfect condition. We bought it tonight and will pick it up tomorrow. So now you can all tell me what a mistake we made and that we bought a lemon or something! LOL!

SWEEEEEET! Great choice on the 'stang (especially the 5sp) I miss mine. Enjoy it! Great color too - you'll need this www.zainobros.com (makes your paint look so deep you'll want to dive in)

I have an 04 F150 4x4 super crew. I previously had a 97 F150. I cannot tell you how much I love my truck! When I got it last September they were still scarce. Mine was the 3rd delivered from the dealer. We got it on A-Plan and put $10000 down. It is black. All black. Of course, I had no say in the color. I wanted white. But I got black. The interior is awesome with the new styling. My seats and carpet are black. The kids like the convenience of having their own doors to open, instead of that 3rd door. I also like the airbag sensors in the seat. It senses DS being to light and automatically shuts down the passenger airbag. It handles so nice. I can make tight turns and have no problem. The only things we don't have on this one is the rear sensing system and a DVD player. It pretty much has all the bells and whistles. I did not want leather. The moon/sunroof is nice, too. I never had one of those and it is nice to have now. I would definately recommend this truck. The new body style and interior is awesome.

This is nice.

I won't be telling you that's a mistake or a lemon. I have a 2001 Mustang GT Convertible (I've wanted one since I was a kid) and it's my baby!!! Hardly ever gets driven, only for pure pleasure trips.

However, have you gotten the insurance quotes? We are in our mid 30's and married, and insurance on that car is awful!!!!

He will love it though, I guarantee it!!

Oh yes we got insurance. For now as long as DS only has his learners we are paying $800 a year for the car. Once he gets his liscense it is a different story. Our insurance only does a family plan. Which means we cannot assign a vehicle to him as being the main driver. I That means as far as insurance goes he will be covered to drive the H-2 also.:earseek: It is going to cost us an additional $3200 a year to but him on. We were paying only $1500 an year for the H-2 and Odyssey. Needless to say DS will be contributing as much as he can in insurance. Whether that is doing more stuff around the house of getting a summer job. DH has already informed him that he will be detailing both our vehicles once a month!
