Looking for a resort between Winterhaven and Orlando

We will be going to Florida and are looking for a nice resort somewhere between Winterhaven and Orlando? If anyone has any suggestions, that would be wonderful!! We will only be going to Disney World one day. Thanks!

A resort? That is a tough one because this is very rural territory and definitely off the beaten path. I would suggest something in Champions Gate, possibly the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Sorry, I have no personal knowledge of it, so you'll have to research it yourself through Tripadvisor and other sources. Good luck.

Thank You - we are going to watch our son play college ball in Winterhaven, so thought we could maybe stay somewhere between Winterhaven and Orlando.

Despite only going to Disney one day, you may want to consider one of the many resorts and resort-type hotels in the Orlando-Kissimmee area for your lodging. It's only about 30 miles from the Disney area to Winter Haven and, as the PP noted, there's not a lot of resort-type lodging once you get down below the Kissimmee/Celebration area. I can think of two, the previously mentioned Championsgate and the Reunion development - I believe that there's a Wyndham there. Those resorts, though are about 20 to 25 miles from Winter Haven.

You'd have a lot more choices just north of that area and could probably find something that's a lot less expensive, too (if that's important to you).
