We will be traveling with my dh and 2 dd's along with another family. We will leave the dd's with our friends so that dh and I can have a nice dinner together. I'm looking for suggestions! I'm looking for a good meal (Dh will eat jus about anything, I am a bit picky, but can usually find something to eat on most menu's) in a nice relatively quiet restaurant where we can actually have a few drinks and an uninterrupted conversation with our meal :rotfl: Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

DH and I Have dined at Yachtsman Steakhouse, California Grill, and Shulas when we have gotten nights out and really enjoyed those very much. I am a picky eater and have been very happy at all 3 of these. The only thing I should mention is CA Grill is not very quiet...but you get a great view of the fireworks.

I like the YS and CG as well, but I think that if a little noise is okay, you cannot beat CG with the view of the MK and the fireworks after dinner.

Artist Point, Jiko and Yachtsman Steakhouse would be my recommendations. Citricos, CG, Flying Fish and Blue Zoo are also quite good, but are generally louder than the other three.

Can't speak with authority on the others because I haven't eaten there, but the DW and I had an outstanding meal at Artist's Point while the kids were in the Cubs' Den. It was relatively quiet except for the rude kids at the table next to us. Our waiter worked hard to make it up to us. Other families in the restaurant were quiet and well-behaved. Since Disney welcomes kids everywhere, you may want to mention to the hostess that you prefer a quiet table no matter where you end up going.

Drink-wise, AP has an extensive selection of Pacific NW wines at $35-70 per bottle. They also have ice wines for dessert. Any of the nicer restaurants will also serve a variety of specialty drinks.

Our faves for such a dinner are Artist Pointe, Narcoosee's, Flying Fish, Blue Zoo, CA Grille.

I would recommend Jiko's at the AKL. I loved it there. It is relatively quiet and a beautiful atmosphere. I loved the filet and we are going back in October.
We did not enjoy our meal at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse on our last trip. We all felt that the food was over sauced/over spiced. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was good, but we did not like our meals.
I have never eaten at the CG, but posts often mention that it is noisy.
I also enjoyed Narcoosee's at the GF, but its design makes it a bit noisy as well.
Enjoy your special night out.
