Looking for a hat

I'm looking for a hat for the next trip to WDW I wore a ball cap last time but they can get hot and for us folically challenged you need a hat, that and it helps to keep your face from burning.

I have ball caps, fishing caps with the tails and a boonie hat but I havent found one that lets good air flow and doenst make me look goofier than usual and is reasonably priced. Any suggestions?

We looked all over WDW for a "trucker" hat. It is a baseball hat with the sides that are mesh instead of fabric. We found exactly 1, and it had a design on it that we did not like.

If I could have found one with Grumpy, Donald, or that just said Walt Disney World on it, I'd have bought it.... Disney lost a sale on that one.

REI has some neat hats!
I saw this one that really airy and has some tails for when out on the boat your neck doesn't get to burned up, I would probly leave them folded up most of the time.

Do you have an REI near you? If so, you can order on line and ship to the store for free. Or, my favorite, go shopping in person. I can spend hours in there having fun (and climbing the rock wall).

Ah.. I've been to the ones in Atlanta (my parents live there) Two words.... Road trip! Seriously, ordering with them is painless and they have a great return policy. I have been a "member" (they are a co-op) since 1996. REI is a great store to do business with.

My Disney hat. I got at Kmart. It is a woven hat, the weave gets more open towards the top, I found it in the Men's dept. It has a wide brim, and a strap so I can let it go down my back. It shades my face and my neck. And works very well at Disney!!

DH bought a version (dark green with venting material on he sides) of #1 at Rainforest Cafe. It was on sale. He looks pretty good in it. I like it too. It folds (flat) pretty nicely in our luggage and keeps it's shape. Sometimes investing a little on a decent hat is good. Just don't lose it.
