Last year we stayed at the Nick hotel and really enjoyed. We have two boys (2 &4) and want to stay in a moderate hotel, with a suite (seperate bedroom for the kids) and good pool/splash area. Are there any other hotels I should be looking into that offer this that are not high end? Any help will be appreciated ~ I am new to this. Danielle

Im staying at Caribe Royale. I heard the suites are large, you can fit 6 pple to a room and it has a living room with a pull out bed. The pool is HUGE, and has slides and waterfalls. Take a look online at the pics. I can't promise anything, but to me it looks awesome. And the price is great at Hotels.com ... the price is $180 at the hotel for april and I paid $122 s night. :)

The pool at Caribe Royale is beautiful. Kids will have a ball.

Also check out the Marriott timeshares...Horizons, Grande Vista and Cypress Harbour. If you are a AAA member or marriott rewards member you can usually get a discounted rate. They can be seen at www.vacationclub.com.

(I though of Horizons because they have a pirate ship pool which is fun for kids.

Our kids really enjoy the Liki Tiki resort. They have a mini water park with great slides for the kids. They have 1 and 2 bedrooms condos at very reasonable prices. There have been some negative reviews but I think it is because people were put in the older section, but as long as you are in the newer buildings it is very clean and well decorated. It is located on 192 about 7 miles west of WDW. PM me if you have any questions. It has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer and still alot less than the nick suites, where we have also stayed.

Hi there, weve stayed at the Caribe Royale, it really is great, good location, 5 mins Disney, fantastic pool, also has a full-time lifeguard who sits beside the kids slide!

This last summer we stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn Seaworld. Its a fairly new hotel and was absolutely spotless, huge rooms, big kitchenette and an ons site Pizza Hut.

Embassy Suites LBC is also really good, with a great pool area (although not with zero-entry like at the RI which is handy with little ones!

Hope this helps!

I am quoting myself from another post:

haven't been to embassy suites in FL but the 2 different ones I have stayed at here are just wonderful. The breakfast is COOKED TO ORDER. You can have your eggs done anyway you want plus they have out bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, potatoes. Plus they have a fruit bar with cut up cantalope and honeydew, and apples, oranges, and bannanas. They have many kinds of cereal. There is oatmeal, toast, and I think bagals. There are many juices, pop, milks, and dif types of coffee. There is yogurt and donut type stuff as well. We always get our fill and then put some in our fridge for later (you don't have to eat in the dining area). At night there are drinks (you just have to show id and room key), pop, popcorn, prezzles, and a nut mix that is a little spicey for me but I like it. The room is huge!!! I only pay 129 plus tax up here and it is soooooo worth it. I think I have decided to stay at one in fl when I go. Oh if you can ask for a corner suite! The room is even bigger and you get extra free stuff. I get upgraded most of the time but had to pay once. I highly reccomend it!

Oh and my kids really like this hotel as well. They get their own room, the pool is nice, and the atrium (sp?) really gets them.
