Tried to get a reservation at Boma but they're booked up. Are there any great places to have a late breakfast in the area? We'll have a car. Our priority is tasty food although hubby does love a buffet. We're two adults and appreciate any advice we can get!

Thanks,

Jennifer

Haven't been, but I'm told that the breakfast buffet at Shades of Green is cheap and delicious. I asked if you had to have military ID to eat there and was told no, anyone can eat at the restaurants. As I said, haven't been, but it's on our list of places to try.

Actually it's been discussed at length in a couple other threads that you DO need a military ID to eat at SoG.

In terms of breakfast buffets, I tend to like Golden Corral. There's still several coupons floating around for $6.50/adult, including unlimited drinks, which makes this a pretty good value. The food is good, although not excellent. If you want excellent, you'll pay $15-$20 more per adult + a larger tip... not worth it IMO.

Since we don't have any in Canada...We LOVE IHOP!!!

I make DH take me there at least 3 times each trip.:woohoo:

I love Kona, it's right up there with Boma. Another place for a relaxing breakfast is the Grand Floridian Cafe.

second Golden Corral - really like the one at LBV.

Are you wanting to eat on or off property? If on property, give Boatwrights a try at Port Orleans Riverside. Very good!

We don't usually eat out for breakfast maybe just a food court or breakfast in the room. But I was thinking about at least one time on our next trip since DS14 requested it. I've heard so many good things about the Kona cafe at the Poly many rave reviews about the Tonga toast and the Kona coffee. We have eaten at Perkins which is by the Crossroads when you go out past DD and across the road at the light, they have a good breakfast I loved their pancakes with bananas and walnuts. :) Linda

Captain Cooks's - the food court - also serves the Tonga Toast for a lot less than Kona cafe.

It actually taste the same to me - just not the atmosphere.

We also like Cape May Buffet (Minnie, Goofy and Chip or Dale) for the food! I have Fresh at the Swan/Dolphin on my list too.

Thanks for the help! We were able to get our Boma reservation after all. I'm not much on breakfast but hubby loves Boma! We're eating late after morning EMH at the Animal Kingdom so it works out great!
