We are looking for a good sit down breakfast for the family in the Disney Dining Plan. It can be anywhere at WDW. I would like a breakfast buffet with it. Any suggestions?

If you want to eat without characters I would suggest either Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Trails End Buffet at the Fort Wildnerness Campground. If you don't mind characters there are numerous breakfast buffets: Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Cape May Buffet and Donald's Breafastsaurus. There 's probably more I cannot think of!

I love Crystal Palace (MK, buffet) and Ohana (Poly, family style) for breakfast. Both have characters. I also really enjoyed Boma's breakfast buffet (AKL, no characters) on our last trip.

Nothing else jumps immediately to mind...

The Boma I thought was on my Quick meal option is it buffet or set down?:confused3

We loved the Cape May breakfast when we went in February, and I usually do not care for buffets. Nice selection of food as well as fresh fruit. Plus I love the open, airy feeling of this restaurant. It is perfect to have breakfast and walk right over to Epcot!

We like Ohana before going to MK. Good food here as well if you like family style. If you don't want characters, sorry, I can't help you...:confused3

Its a buffet at dinner, so I assume it is at breakfast too. Either way, it is definitely a table service credit on the DDP. There is Mara at the AKL, that is the quick service type place there for a cs meal.

Our fave is Chef Mickey's... a good time and good food!!::MinnieMo pluto: :mickeyjum

We LOVE Restaurantosaurus character breakfast buffet at Animal Kingdom. Great character interaction and the food is good.

To the OP - Where are you staying?

Last year we stayed at the Dolphin and decided to wander over to the garden Grove Cafe on a weekday morning. They have a full breakfast menu plus a buffet. Very reasonably priced and I must say it was very good! We did not have an ADR and the restaurant was practically empty. They also have a character breakfast there on the weekends if you are interested in that.

Another suggestion I have is the Maya Grill at CSR. They had a very good breakfast there (also full menu & buffet). Again, we did not need an ADR and walked right in.

I guess it all depends on where you are staying or if you are willing to travel for a good breakfast.

Just went to 1900 park Fare on 4/13 and it was great--good buffet--great character interactions. Definitely worth a try!

We loved the Kona Cafe' at Poly. You can't beat the coffee.:thumbsup2

We tried the eggs benedict with champagne for a more brunch feel, very good!

Boma breakfast is a buffet. Yacht Club Galley has a good buffet. No characters at either.

The best non-buffet sitdown breakfast is Boatwrights at POR.
