Driving St. Louis to Orlando: We hope to stop after getting through Atlanta, leaving in the morning. We like the price point of Hamptons/Drurys. Any suggestions? We may have our cat..

Country Inn & Suites in McDonough, GA is Pet Friendly ($20 extra charge for pet-friendly room)

Much nicer than the Hampton in McDonough. The Hampton is an older hotel than the the C.I.S.

In order to avoid traffic the next morning, I recommend that you go at least as far south as McDonough; i.e. Hudson Bridge Road or further south.
