Looking for a fridge swap with my dates

I am having trouble finding a fridge swap with my dates. If anyone knows of any swaps with the dates Sept. 13-16 of 2009 please let me know. Thank you so much.

I don't have those dates available in our POP swap, I just wanted to wish you luck.

Have you checked the fridge swap sticky at the top of the Budget Board? It lists all the swaps at the values and makes it easier to search through them.

You are looking for a very difficult time to get a fridge. Free Dining is going on which will make it next to impossible to find a swap with Sept dates open. I would contact some people running the swaps and maybe get on a standby list.

I feel your pain!!!

We are staying at POP Sept 14-19 and I checked EVERY single swap and none had an opening. I PM'd three of the swaps and ask the person running it to add me to the alternate list and luckily, one opened up for me. I wish you the same luck!

I know how frustrating it is! I know they are first come, first served, but when you see people with two and three fridges and all you want is one, its really upsetting. I hope you find one.

(P.S... if you would also like a coffee maker, look for swaps that have a coffee maker too, and if you like a bigger fridge, check the size of the fridges for each swap before you are asked to be put on the waiting list. HTH!)

Not to start a debate here or anything, but I have ran a Fridge Swap for a year and half and I do not ask swappers if they are using more that one fridge. It is none of my business.

Please keep in mind that the people that run the swaps do this for free and it is a lot of work and if a slot does not fill and there is a gap of 5 days for more you run the risk of the POP getting rid of your fridge. So, honestly I wouldn't care if there were 25 fridge swaps running the POP and one person wanted all those fridges. This means my fridge is kept out of storage and is less likely to get lost.

Also remember you are lucky that the POP is still allowing these swaps to continue at all, there are rumors of the POP discontinuing this all together.

I'm sorry. By no means at all was I trying to say it was anyone's responsibility to cross check the swaps. I know all those running the swaps are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts and I am BEYOND grateful to each of you. I am so sorry if I offended you. I am extremely grateful to have found an opening in a swap. I tip my hat to all the organizers. I don't think I could begin to keep it all straight, nevermind have it actually function as well as they do.

Like I said, I know they are first come, first served, and if I was the lucky duck who got to all the lists first, I would be a happy clam! I was just trying to let the OP know that I shared her frustration until I got lucky, and to wish her the same luck I found.
