Looking for a Doctor in the Orlando area

Are there any Florida DISers in the Orlando/Central Florida area that can give any recommendations for a Doctor?

We will be moving there shortly and I need to find a decent doctor. The Celebration Hospital is covered as a provider on my insurance, are there general practitioners there?

Finding a doctor by picking a name out of a book is probably not the best idea for me.

We will be living in Davenport, a couple miles SW of WDW.

I'm in the same boat as you - I'll be moving to Kissimmee in three weeks and I have no leads on finding a good doctor. I hope we can find some help here!

Good luck - maybe it is better in Orlando than here - 35 minutes away. I am on my third doctor now - and I don't have anything wrong. I finally searched on the web and looked at the schools they went to. Lots of foreign schooled doctors here. Probably nothing wrong with them, but I prefer a doctor schooled in America at a school I know.

If I remember correctly I just did a google search for doctors - Winter Haven, FL. I told Ted and Holly I would ask my daughter if she had a recommendation. She is a nurse. I think that sometimes nurses are pretty good judges. I know that as a paralegal I can tell you if lawyers I worked with are good or not. I'll ask her for you too when I see her in two weeks. I did find that all of the doctors I had originally zeroed in on were not seeing new patients. I settled for one in the clinic that I decided on. I had horrible experiences with the first two. Thank heavens I am not sick.

That's kind of close minded. There is more to a doctor than just whatever prestigious school you are looking for. Are you asking for their class ranking as well? Do you know what they call the bottom student graduating from med school? Doctor. You may be missing out on a fabulous doctor by using this criteria.
