I am coming to WDW next week, and I happen to work for a company that has an office there in Orlando. Some of the people I work with, but have never met want to get together and have a little meetup. They said they will come meet me in Disney Springs, but I have to pick the place to go as I am the guest.
What are your suggestions for me to tell them. All we want is a beer or 3 and a quick bite. Nothing fancy or very expensive.

Depends of course on what you want but a quick drink and not too expensive is kind of hard as most seem high on the price down there. If appetizers are all you need, then the hanger bar might work.. I will tell you that the cheaper set up that I like is the Lava Lounge on the water. It is part of the Rainforest and you go around the front of the restaurant and go to the left. Their drink prices are as cheap as you are going to get in that area and the menu has a lot of offerings, but more importantly, it is an area where you can hear each other talk . Also, if you want to meet for drinks then decide where to eat, I would suggest the hole in the wall bar that is nestled in between Cookes of Dublin and Raglan Road. It has several small tables and really good beer offerings.

Great, these suggestions are just want I'm looking for, thank you very much. the lava lounge or the hole in the wall bar should like they might be the best options . Does Hole in the wall server the same beers as Ragland? that Irish coffee stout sounds amazing to me.

I don't know the answer to the beer question but just wanted to add, if you end up at the Hole in the Wall, maybe grab food at Cooke's. We love their fish and chips and actually everything we've ever tried there!

For the most part they do. If you get a real good bartender, they go in the door that is behind the bar and bring you your favorite. Depends on just how busy they are of course, but they usually work their tails off to please the Hole in the wall gang. They do have several of the same beers on draft outside as well. And I agree about Cookes of Dublin for good fast food that you can also eat in the hole in the wall seating area. Main difference between the two places is Lava Lounge is quietter, Hole in the Wall is along a busy walkway so you often get some crowd noise from the people passing by.

I would go to Smokehouse (part of House of Blues). They have Nachos that I am dying to try, and it looks like they also have a Happy hour with entertainment (just a singer and a guitar).

Raglan Road. Good food, lots of beer, and fun atmosphere. Plus you can make a reservation via Open Table and not have to worry about the disney cancellation fee

Hey Man: I agree w/Kastoney - Raglan Road is pretty cool. The atmosphere, esp in main dining room, is festive and rocking. But in a family-friendly Disney way. That being said, it can be loud. Food and beer selections are solid. Hope this helps.
