Hi all,
I swear i feel like i work at a grade school sometimes.I think we will need a baby sitter at the fire house.Ok,while i was off yesterday employee A and employee B got into some sort of shouting match. It was quickly broken up and no fist were thrown or anything. Now we all now at the fire house that emploee A and b really don't like each other and don't get along very well, but usally when they have no choice but to work together they just really don't speak to each other only when they have to.It goes back some time, around 2 years ago,Employee B is a "old timer on the job" and employee A was a rookie and the old timer did not like the new comers attitude and felt he was cocky.Anyway employee B told another employee these comments about the rookie and the rookie overheard him say it.From that moment on they did not get along.Yesterday it was a screaming match that the captain over heard, broke up and said that if it was not resolved quickly both were gonna be sent home without pay and that not to favor one or the other both will be transfered to different staions in different boro's.Well Employee A left the fire house after his shift was over, while Employee B(old timer) got off 2 hours earlier.Employee A(new guy) finds that not one but all four of his tires were slashed and now he has no way home.So he goes inside and speaks to the captain and they call the NYPD together to do a report.
This is where i show up and find 2 police cars outside the fire house,Now this has gone way too far! The chief now is involved and does not care who has 18 years on the job or 2,both are being transfered one to the bronx and the other to manhattan,as he(the chief) said it, no matter what, its too late for i'm sorrys, both are gone, end of story! I swear i feel like i work at a grade school, the even worse thing is that employees C,D,E as well as F, all heard the old timer say to the rookie,"hope you have tire insurance. So its a done deal both have been ordered to start thier next shifts at thier new stations and of course both called the union, with complaints.Saying they were treated unfairly and transfered un fairly.I kinda agree with the chief, both have a 50/50 hand in this,so both should go,end of the problem. We tried for years to take care of this in house without a paper trail or marks on anyones personnal file, apperantly that did not work.I have seen both employees A and B start with each other or just plain rude to each other on many different occasions.not one or the other is the agresser. Not one of them is a victim here and not one of them is innocent. This is just really plain out dumb, end of story both these "men" are acting like little children.I feel like i work in a grade school, were talking about a 29 y/o and a 42 y/o men, sounds like i'm speaking about 15 y/o's.unreal,just plain unreal.

Not all of them and not all the time, but men with a chip on their shoulders are way worse than three year olds! Sounds like both of these two have one.
