We are traveling to WDW at the end of February. I just found out today that our AAA office only gives out Diamond Parking passes if you book a complete package through them. We are staying off-site this year, so we didn't book a package through AAA.

If anyone has a AAA Diamond Parking Pass that they would be willing to share, we would greatly appreciate it. I understand that we will still have to pay for parking. But parking close would be very beneficial. I will definitely pass it forward once we are done with our trip. If you have one you are willing to share, please PM me and I will give you my address.

Thanks,

Britt

Did you try to get it from your AAA? We had them do a trip tik for us and I asked for one when I picked it up and they gave it to me. Wouldn't hurt to ask to see if you can get one.

I would double check with another AAA agent. YOu are a member- you should get one regardless. Did you get your tix through AAA? I would ask again :)

Yes have checked with AAA. I bought a child ticket from one of my sons (other son, Wife and myself have left over tickets from a previous trip). I was told by two separate agents on two separate occasions, that they only gave them out if we booked a complete package.

I suppose I could check an office in a nearby city.

What state are you in? I will PM you my agents email addy if you want. I am in Illinois. He is a wonderful agent- I am sure he would work with you.

AAA Diamond Parking Pass is for those booking a package through AAA only. I can't use your ticket to WDW's parks, you cannot use my Diamond Pass. I feel this is dishonest.

I mentioned off the cuff to my agent we were headed to WDW and got a pass without a second glance and had bought nothing from AAA. I really think it depends on the agent and the policy of each office. My was for 2006 or I'd send it.

Good luck,

Tandy

If you aren't going to help, then why did you bother to respond.

We are in Alabama as well - but we do not have to book a complete package - just one ticket. I do not have one or I would pass it on. I hope you are able to find one.

I'm not trying to be weasly, underhanded, or dis-honest. According to the AAA portion of the WDW website (or the WDW portion of the AAA website, I'm not sure which) it states that one of the member benefits is AAA Diamond Parking. It doesn't mention anything about having to purchase a complete package from AAA. Neither does the AAA website. From the testimonials in this thread, it is obvious that every AAA office deals with this differently, from giving them out if you mention that you are going to WDW all the way to only giving them out if and only if you spend a lot of money through them. I have paid for my plus membership and this is a benefit of plus membership (that by the way doesn't cost them a dime).

i just looked through my things and could have sworn i had one from our trip in november where we flew and didnt drive-- but they must have taken that out. I am so sorry-- because I would have certainly given it to you. Sometimes its better to be nice and brutally rude.

If I find one ill certainly get it your way!

Same here (not Alabama, but an adjoining state). I was told I just had to buy one ticket (when I called, I had already bought our tickets from Ticketmania).

Someone let me have one back before Christmas (for our trip the week before Christmas), but it has 2006 on it.

BTW, I'm a AAA member, and I don't think that there is anything dishonest about using the pass. Good luck on finding one (I'd be happy to send you this one if it didn't say 2006)!

Ok, I have just done some more research and found this link.

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...agesPopUp?id=AAATicketsFAQPopUpPage#jumplink6

According to this page, "AAA Preferred Parking is included with the purchase of a Magic Your Way ticket of at least 4 days in length only." Which I have done through AAA, yet they still won't give me a AAA Diamond Parking Pass.

Email or fax that to the office where you bought your tickets. (My local office only required that I buy one ticket, and it didn't have to be a multi-day ticket.)

If you booked it through AAA office, contact the office manager, if you have to fax them or take in person the inclusion of what the copy says "you get the AAA parking pass with the booked package" they have to honor it.

As far as being dishonest, etc etc.
I am not sure how you can justify a parking permit as dishonest?!
A Parking pass is just that, if they didn't pay for it, someone else did! so indeed the parking is paid for, from someone! , and it's called sharing something, in this world, people do it all the time, have you never helped anyone?!:surfweb:
GEEZ it's a parking pass,it's like the mug theory*! (OMG did i open up another can of bloodsuckers)LOL!

relax, and enjoy your vacations!

psps I was in the travel industry for a few years and believe me what I seen go on as far as people going overboard, trying to take a corp or someone for a ride=a parking pass is nothing!
Please no postings, save your energy, I do not respond to insults, or negativity, my time is valuable to me! ( and I am thinking to my about going to MCO 24 days from now)!!!!:cool2:

Talking about all this I just phoned AAA and ordered our trip route information and asked to have a AAA parking pass sent to me-:thumbsup2
I was told I could go into any local AAA office show ID/and they'd give me one, if I get an extra, I will post it on here and mail it out to anyone who is in need, I go to WDW 3 times a year and I know* the expenses that incures with 2 week trips as well as paying retail now that I am not in the travel industry any longer.

If I can help someone, I 'll glady help!:wizard:

Thanks for putting my day on a great note, since it's a little above freezing here today, and freezing:mad: all this talk of FL and MCO has made me  :dance3: :cheer2: thinking about my own trip in 24 days!!!:hourglass :woohoo:

Happy Trips to all!:cool1:

I didnt renew my AAA membership yet, so wondering if it is worth it. How much is the regular parking at the parks now (will be going in July) and is the AAA pass good for multiple days?

I did save a ton of money using my AAA pass on other occasions, but this would be a huge bonus!

The AAA Diamond Parking Pass, doesn't cover the cost of parking. I guess it a way the name of it is a little misleading. There is a section of the parking lot, up near the entrance of each park that is reserved for AAA Diamond Parking. The AAA Diamond Parking pass gets you access to those places, once you are already inside the parking lot.

If you are staying on site, your resort parking pass gives you free parking anywhere in WDW.
