looking for 2012 Chip and dale relay info...

I read somewhere, runner #2 checks the bag at EPCOT finish. Runner #1 has the option to check the bag at EPCOT or have #2 check it at the Relay Switch spot. Either way, everyone goes back to the finish line at EPCOT. Is this still the situation?

From runDisney -- Though it is not well written, Runner 2 gives their bag to Runner1. The runner's only point is the baggage check tent. If Runner 2 is using transportation from Epcot to the relay point they will most likely not be going through this check point.

Relay Runner #1: If you would like to retrieve your belongings at Magic Kingdom® Park after completing the first leg of the race, you must give your clear plastic goody bag, with your numbered bag check sticker affixed to the front of the bag, to Relay Runner #2. Relay Runner #2 will check your bag at the Bag Check tent at Magic Kingdom® Park.
Unclaimed Relay Runner #1 bags will be delivered from Magic Kingdom® Park to the Epcot® Guest Relations window.

Relay Runner #2: If you would like to retrieve your belongings at Epcot® after completing the second leg of the race, you must check your clear plastic bag, with your numbered bag check sticker affixed to the front of the bag, at Bag Check. You must give your clear plastic goody bag, with your numbered bag check sticker affixed to the front of the bag, to Relay Runner #1. Relay Runner #1 will check your bag at the Bag Check tent at Epcot®. (emphasis added)Please check your bag prior to taking the shuttle to Magic Kingdom® Park. Relay Runner #2 bags must be claimed before 2:00 p.m. from the Bag Check tent in the Family Reunion Area.

Ugh, I am also a Runner #2 - I can't imagine sitting at the exchange point for 2 1/2 + hours in the cold :( I don't see where there is a "warm" place for us to settle while we are waiting.... I was thinking about purchasing the Race Retreat, but it does not look like it will work :( I am happy to get up at the crack of dawn to support my daughter.... I am really not looking forward to sitting in the cold for 2 1/2 + hours waiting for her to cross the exchange line, however!

I have to believe that there will be a warm spot at the relay point. If not tents then in buses. THough I am not sure 2.5-4.5 hours sitting on a bus (time from leaving Epcot to a 3.5 hour runner) is good either. I am sure that the final instructions due out in the next couple weeks will have additional details.
