Hi everyone! We are going to WDW in Sept with free dining. :woohoo: We will be staying at Fort Wilderness Cabins. There are two days that we will be eating CS meals that we will not be in a park; one for lunch and one for dinner. I don't believe there is a CS place at Fort Wilderness. Does anyone have any suggestions for good places to eat that are not to difficult to get to from the Fort? Thank you!

DTD - Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck's Express; both on the dining plan.

or take the water taxi over to POR - fabulous food court; on the dining plan.

Mara at AKL if you already are thinking about resort-hopping. You can get zebra domes there! Lots of different options for food also.

I thing either of the Wolfgang Puck Cafes (Westside or Marketplace) are great values and have yummy food for your CS meal. The menus are different from each other, with more hot choices at the Marketplace location.

I'd also suggest the Pepper Market at CSR for another CS meal. Great food and you even get some service there and the tip is included in your CS credit.

We enjoyed the food court at CBR. The night we got in last trip we ate there and it was fantastic. I think I had the turkey dinner, can't remember what everyone else had but everyone did enjoy their meals.

Another vote for DTD and WPE and EoS. Those places are soooo gooood. ;)

We love, love, love the POR food court!! They have an amazing create-your-own pasta station. You choose the type of pasta, sauce, meat, veggies, etc you want & they cook to order. It's served with what they call a breadstick but I would call a piece of garlic bread. Very yummy!! We always stay at POR & often leave the park to go back there for lunch. They also have pizza, burgers, chicken strips, etc. The bakery has lots of good choices for dessert too.

The POP food court is the best food court with the most options, but I suppose its awkward to get to.
I'd reccommend the usual WPE or EoS. But if you are in the MK area the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary has gotten awesome reviews and is only a boatride away

I would highly recommend Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney Marketplace and the Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

I'd say Roaring Forks at WL or Contempo Cafe at CR. Neither are what I'd call awesome, but they are the both decent.

When I stayed at the Fort, I was already very annoyed at the double layered transportation necessary to get anywhere. There is no way I'd add another transportation switch to get to any CS meal.

WL and CR are both accessible directly by boat so you'd only have to internal bus to the marina and then boat to get there. Not so much for any other resort.

Pepper Market at CSR is a good deal on the dining plan but it's not really convenient to FW. This last trip my family enjoyed The Comtempo at the Comtemporary. They had quite a few options and the food seemed a little nicer than some of the other resort food courts. We also enjoy POP, just because it has a lot of variety.

Can you get take out at Trails End on the dining plan? They have some real good chicken meals, never had the pizza but it looked good as well.

We always get a chicken meal for four and go down to the dock and sit and watch the boats, or for late dinner and then MK fireworks..

I'll add my support for WPE at DTD. Pepper Market is for sure a different CS experience than others so if you're willing to take the time to get there it could be good.

If you're into it, you could get to the Polynesian and go to the Kona Sushi bar almost as easily as you could get to the Contemporary. Don't know if it's part of the dining plan, though. You'd have to call up Disney Reservations and ask.

Wolfgang Puck Express is my families favorite CS in all of WDW. Earl of Sandwhich is really yummy as well. I keep looking at Poly's CS as well.

My DH's fav is the Pop though he loved the tye dye cheesecake that for him was worth a trip to the Pop.

Thank you everyone for all of the great choices! We are definately going to do DTD for at least one meal, maybe two. We might try POR as we have neer been to this resort, but I always see everyone recommending it on the DIS. It's such a hassle to get anywhere from the Fort, but we love it there. We have a dinner at WCC, so I'll have to check out the food court while we're there. The CR food court would also work well for us. Thank you all!:)

We really like the POR food court when we were there with dining. Really good make your own pasta (I had it twice on our five night stay!) Lots of choices and it's by the water. Yummy!

I think we'll try POR food court. That's not the one with the giant heads hanging down is it? I've seen pictures of this, and it kind of creeps me out. Also, what would be the best way to get there from Fort Wilderness? Sorry so many questions. Thank you.
