We are going to disney the end of may staying onsite from may 28-june 3rd. We are driving down and thought it would be nice to stay off site the first night as we will be tired from the drive I have to work the day we leave for 10 hours. Hubby is wanting to be on the road by 4pm sharp (so we will be arriving in orlando around 2 am ) so most of the driving will be done at night cause of our 4 yr old dd so she will sleep most of the way. Any good suggestions for that first night I have looks some of the hotels up in the orlando area but to be truthful I'm scared of booking one that I know nothing about I dont want to stay in a dump. thanks

There are plenty of places to stay off site that are very nice. Where do you want to be close to? Where are you checking into teh next day?
Do you want a suite hotel? Most of the Hampton Inns are nice. I just stayed at the Marriot Courtyard on Palm Parkway, which was very nice. Fairfiled, Club Doubletree, Country Inn & Suites Calyso Cay, Amerisuites....

we will be staying at POP. Would like one that would offer free breakfast too.

I would suggest stopping along the way when fatique makes it uncomfortable or even dangerous to continue on. We always stop at the state welcome centers and get those hotel discount books. We've never had much problem finding a room. Usually we pay somewhere between $45 and $70. Many of them include free breakfast and it usually says in the ad.

If you're arriving in Orlando at 2AM, you won't want to do much the first day anyway (or at least I wouldn't). Why not make the trip down a little less stressful and arrive by lunchtime?

JMHO.

I would suggest one of the Hampton Inns, all are close. They also include breakfast & usually have good rates.
