Looking ahead to 2005

Ok, I know it's a little early but want to put some "feelers" out there for someone who might be thinking about selling their points for March 28th- April 1st, 2005...that's a Monday thru Friday (checkout Friday am). I'll need a two bedroom villa and preferably at Caribbean Beach Club...but would consider Wilderness Lodge. Thanks for thinking ahead........a grandma with a schedule!

As far as DVC goes, do you mean that you would like to stay at the Beach Club Villas or the VWL? Renting points for the Carribean Beach Resort would be more expensive than just renting directly from Disney (it is not a dvc property, and as far as I know, they don't have any villas). I will be renting points out shortly as soon as they are available, but I will own at SSR, so I need to wait for the 7 month window to go anywhere else (we are signing our contract on Saturday).

I guess I don't understand your reply.......Disney has villas at the Beach club just like at Wildnerness Lodge. Renting points for a Monday - Thursday night (4 nights) has got to be possible??? Help me out with this someone...Thanks

I see the confusion. There is the Carribean Beach Resort (CBR), which is not a dvc property. The BEACH CLUB VILLAS are DVC, as are the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. You should not have a problem getting four nights at the DVC properties. DVC members can also use their points for CBR, but it is almost never cost effective. I was just trying to make sure you knew that if you wanted CBR, that going through Disney is the better route. For VWL and BCV, you are probably better off renting points rather than going through Disney. Hope this makes sense!!

Ok, now we're on the same page! I have rented points in the past for Disney Villas (Wilderness Lodge) so am familiar on how the system works, points required, etc. I'm just trying to make connections with someone who has the time frame I need. Thanks...
