Hi -

So, we just booked a last minute Orlando trip in late April. I'm calling it an orlando trip b/c we are likely not going to go into any Disney Parks. We are planning the full blown Disney trip for November 2008 so this April trip is just going to be Universal, maybe Sea World and whatever we want.

We are there for 4 nights/5 days and have a rental car. We are staying at Doubletree Universal. I plan on buying the 7 day ticket to Universal & Island of Adventure.

So, does anybody have any other ideas of must sees for a family with two kids ages 6 & 4? We were thinking about going to the Nick Resort, Downtown Disney... Does anybody know of anywhere else cool to go that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get into?

Thanks for your help!

When we were there last summer our kids enjoyed the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum. They also loved Busch Gardens in Tampa. Its about an hour and a half ride from Orlando.

SeaWorld usually has the buy one day get the next day free at Guest Relations (I didn't check to see if this deal is running so you'd have to look) but it's a great way to spend two days.

Are they boys? We did Gatorland. It was inexpensive and full of gators!

Cypress Gardens is also overlooked and reasonable the last time we went.

You could simply take them in to play at the play areas of Universal.

Sea World! We've taken DS twice, both at younger and older points than your kids, and he loved it both times.
