We were not supposed to get very much snow according to Friday's forecast but it started about 5pm last night. We had 18" in the back yard as of 9am. Some drifts in our yard were up to 3 feet deep. We're in Northern Nevada.

It was 65 just last Monday:confused: DH had to get out and shovel so he could go to work this afternoon.

Well all we got is RAIN. I will take it although I want some sun.

Do you guys normally get snow?

Even though we are in a desert state, we live in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We had a lot of snow in December that stayed around for almost a month. They really weren't predicting this. In contrast, Lake Tahoe usually receives the snow and they only got about an inch from this system. It's still coming down right now.

I bet it is beautiful there then.:goodvibes Enjoy your snow. All we have is mud and rain.

It's very pretty. Our Bay Area high hills may get a dusting of snow later this week.

Cold rain right now.

We get a couple of those days every year. I have learned over time to really like the snow. I would take it over the only other alternative we have here in the winter...cold, rainy, muddy, and gray.
