Very excited to get our "big red envelope" always have done DIY before!

Received mine today as well!

Question: Included we had vouchers for transfers to & from hotel, Coronado Springs with Mears transportation. Is that the Magical Express? I assumed it would say that.
 
Exciting!! :dance3: I am soooo jealous! This is the first year we have done it DIY and won't be receiving our big red envelope :sad1:

I am no expert as we always rent a car but don't Virgin include trasfers with Mears, ME to be booked yourself seperately?
I know they are all run by Mears but thats how I thought it worked. Hope someone with experience answers.

That's what I thought, I even made a point of asking the agent when we booked if we needed to book Magical Express ourselves & she said it would be done for us. At the end of the day so long as I get there fine, but I would rather travel with the mouse if I could.

I shall ask Virgin.

I shall let you know my outcome.

:thumbsup2 We requested a high floor springs or congress park, quite happy to go anywhere but carousel as it looks miles away (knowing us we will be put there :rotfl: )

It's a funny one as you transport from the airport will be a Mears bus via virgin holidays but on the way back they use magical express :confused: I have booked magical express online myself and have let VH know I no longer need their transfers. I have to see the reps at Mco anyway as we have a $300 free gift card to collect :thumbsup2 so will remind them then

Do you have the web address where you go to do this?

ETA: Google'd it & signed up. When VA reply to my email I shall let them know we will be on the Mickey Bus & not with them. Also, noticed we fly out the same day. Which flight are you on?

We're on the Manchester flight, are you gatwick? Hopefully we don't run into each other at a huge immigration queue :rotfl2:

Yes we are flying out of Gatwick, scheduled to arrive at 5:05pm. If we do you'll be in front, whenever we arrive we usually join the queue on the plane when we get up out of our seats!

Any idea if as international guests whether we have to get our bags from baggage claim or will Disney get them for us, since we don't have the DME labels. I've heard we have to collect them ourselves due to customs?..

I am not sure hopefully someone else can help we always take them with us though - it can take 4 hours for the cases to be delivered :scared1:

I know, it does seem awfully convenient to just have them appear though as if by magic!

As we have never done DME before we were researching & seemed that due to customs international passengers have to claim their bags to walk through customs with them. That's probably what we will do, I shall let Virgin know tomorrow we have booked to travel with DME instead of what generic bus they have laid on for us!

3:30, you're set. You'll be at your hotel by the time we arrive!

We also have the $300 gift card, when I spoke to Virgin customer services a few days ago they told me I would receive a voucher to exchange at the Hotel - is this not the case?

We got a voucher today in our pack that says has to be exchanged at the Virgin Desk in MCO on arrival. Failure to collect it on arrival means your forfeit it!

Yes that's what we got as well, I have enquirer with VH customer services before and they have always said collect at the airport rom a rep
