After reading other trip reports I thought I would add one also. As it sits we are going to arrive the morning of April 18th and stay until the afternoon of the 23rd.
We have reservations at the Disneyland Hotel (using my CAA card for a discount) with a pool view room. I also have our 5 day park hopper passes waiting for us at the check-in (got those for the price of a 3 day one, it was the special at the time). I have two sets of character breakfast vouchers ready for us and have made PS's at Goofy's Kitchen and Lilo and Stitch at PCH Grill.
Now, just a little back ground information on us, my DH
(30) is an underground miner and only gets to come home every few weeks to see us. Myself
(34), I am (was) an instructor for a community college, and my DS
(3) is in preschool and loves anything Disney. We are still watching Mickey's Christmas, which began last August
I was informed in January of my campus' closure and the loss of my position (could take another position at another campus but would mean a move for the entire family) and decided to use my leaving package for a trip to Disneyland. My husband agreed and the planning began in early February. This will be the first trip as a family, besides the weekend drive and stay for a few days.
When we told my son he was really excited, we explained we would be going on a plane and that he would be able to watch movies, have a snack, colour, and play his Leapster. His reply was "I think I'll take the boat!
" We have now convinced him to try the plane since it will be quicker. I still have fears he may not get on and bolt in the airport, my best friend just giggles at us
So, as it sits right now, we are scheduled to leave on Thursday, April 17th with a stay overnight in Vancouver and then a morning flight into LAX. I will post more later as I am also trying to make sure I have my lists ready for packing. I am obsessive about my lists, guide books, and trip boards, drives my DH nuts, but it calms me to plan and plan effectively
Until next time, TTFN

and not to be frightened but I'm still not confident this will be enough.
and I am desperately trying to get my DS
, we watched Tarzan, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (the one where Donald's three nephews keep having Christmas over and over again, well that is that movie playing in our house since August 2007
), then it was Lilo and Stitch, and finally Cars. Well DS should be prepared by now!
to get to the nearest airport, stay over night, endure a wind storm, and now we get to fly. My DH is still a little nervous about DS getting on the plane, (he has never been on one) and we would like to apologize now for the disturbance that may be made for this two hour flight to YVR.
