RoyalCanadian, yes we won the War of 1812 (it was against the Brits, again!). The funny thing was that the last battle of the war happened AFTER the peace treaty was signed! News didn't travel so fast back then!

Anyway, I was just making fun of the people who thought the Pilgrams landed in 1820, which is after both the Revolution and the War of 1812, and makes no sense what so ever!

The state of ignorance in this country is staggering! I know history isn't everyone's favorite subject, but how people get out of high school with out knowing the basics is beyond me.

I also know a guy who thinks he knows everything. Well, I know ALOT about bats because I think they are one of the most underappreciated animals on Earth. Anyway, so this guy spent 30 minutes trying to seriously convince me that he'd been attacked by a bat the size of a small dog (they exist but not in Southern NH/or MA) that had razor sharp spikes on it's wings that it could release to shoot at people.

I just looked at him like he was crazy.

wow, did you think to ask him what drugs he was on at the time of the bat attack..??
