DS's field trip today is a walking tour of the financial district in Downtown Manhattan.

...okay, patting my own back here......it was my twin niece and nephew's birthday (they turned 6) so I went to the Disney store and bought them a G-Force t-shirt (a white one

for Becca and a black one

for Matt), a stuffed animal Juarez ("..you try to put a bow on me and you're gonna lose a FINGER...!")

and Darwin (the 'leader'),

and tickets to see G-Force at the movie theater....

What a huge mess I woke up to...
girl sleepover
in the tv room
(we have this awesome basement, but they chose the tv room)
air mattresses wall to wall
doll items everywhere
the remnants of their late night snacking


oy vey
good thing I slept well!

and if the tv room was not disastrous enough
DD13 made chocolate chip pancakes for everyone

and she lacks cleaning up skills


and the dishwasher was full and clean
so dirty dishes stacked up in the sink



we have finally got the house back in some semblance of order!
and it is noon!

DD10 and friend are going to "Lunch Bunch" soon
today's menu is walking tacos
tacos made in snack size fritos or doritoes bags
very fun!

Lunch Bunch is a two hour pool party, snack, games, fun time
sponsored by a local church

Going to warm up dinner in a bit. We're having baked turbo fillet with a citrus sauce, mashed potatoes and cauliflower. I bought ice cream for dessert.

It was OK...the girl I work with is just so snobby! Drives me nuts and I try to ignore her but she makes comments under her breath. We had lots of kids so the day went by fast.
