Wednesday 5th October

This turned out to be the worst day of the holiday! The kids seemed to be in a terrible mood today and it made the day seem like hard work. Even DH and me got sucked into the arguing and we ended up having a row mid-afternoon.

We have breakfast at pop at 9.30am its overcast this morning so we didn’t rush to get to the magic kingdom.
We arrive at about 11am and im beginning to feel ill, its nothing I can put my finger on just a general ill feeling. :confused3
We took things really slow and wandered on and off rides at random in fantasyland. Dd wants to see storytime with belle so we eventually find it! And they watch that. The sun has finally come out though and its scorching so I went a brought a lemonade at the enchanted grove kiosk, then the kids arrive with dh and start pestering me for frozen lemonades. Of course as soon as they get the lemonades they decide they don’t want them grrr. :guilty:
We didn’t have lunch so we snacked on crisps early afternoon. The kids were still playing up and this led to a family argument about how selfish they were being and how they don’t realise how lucky they were etc etc, dh wasn’t quick enough to back me up so we argued and he walked off leaving me with the kids! I was so mad :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
I decided to take them on peter pan as it was showing a 15-minute wait time, we started to queue and the rain began to lash it down. I was even more cross with DH now as he had the rain ponchos.
We queued for over 40 minutes to ride peter pan but it kept the rain off I suppose.

It was approaching 4.15pm so we headed for LTT as we had an ADR for 4.30pm; DH was waiting when we got there (he had gone to ride space mountain)

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this meal but I have to say despite the bad mood I did enjoy it. It’s a meal served family style, we started with a salad and then some meats potatoes stuffing veg etc and a fruit cobbler type dessert with ice cream. The characters were brilliant as well. We saw Minnie, Chip, Dale and Goofy.

We were back at pop for 7pm and DH took the kids to play for a while and I tried to pack! I didn’t think we had brought that much stuff and even allowing for the extra bag I brought to pack extras in I really struggled to get everything in (those refillable mugs you see) we even had to sit on the cases. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
We had to be organised tonight as we have chef Mickey’s tomorrow so we will check-out early and head out for the day till its time to go to the airport.

Last day tomorrow and chef Mickey’s. :)

There's something about the ending of a holiday that always makes you feel down, when you know it's your last full day you REALLY want it to be extra special and then the slightest thing can ruin it. It's happened to me and I'm sure it has happened to others, I think we make our expectations too high. Then when you look back you realise that you DID have a fab time and it's just the realisation that you have to get back to normality

Well that's my psychology bit over ...

I've had a great time reading your reports Nat, and I think you need to book another WDW trip, just so I can read somemore - shall I start a collection ??

Sorry you had a stressy day - not enough shopping.....er  "downtime" perhaps. Glad you had a nice dinner - I was worried you were coming down with the bug I had when we went to CP :earseek:

Oh no - nearly home time!

i think that will be needed yes ! other than that a lottery win would be useful :rotfl2:

We ALL have those arguments on holiday.

Nat, great report and shame about the arguements. As others have said I think the down on the holiday coming to an end causes everyone to be slightly more on edge. Been there, done that ......

Once you read all your trippies and look at the photographs you will all realise you had a ball :sunny:

Another great report Nat, despite your little family disagreement. It happens to the best of us so don't feel too bad. My little take on the psychology front is that, after all the planning and anticipation, sometimes (for no reason that you can put your finger on) you feel slightly let down. But, if your trippies are anything to go by, you sound like you had a fantastic time and I'm sure it was just a combination of a couple of busy days combined with the pre-going home blues :goodvibes

Alternatively, it may be that deep down you were feeling sad that you never rode Tower of Terror :rotfl:

Enjoyed reading your report ~ We really like LTT.

I think everyone one visiting WDW has days like yours. We usually get it over with in the first few days, that way we can enjoy the rest of the holiday :teeth:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: wow that must have been it Joh, can't beleive i never thought of that :rotfl2:

Thanks for posting Nat. It is sad when the holiday comes to an end but you only feel sad when you have had a fantastic time.

I've enjoyed your trip reports Nat :)

I'm looking forward to LTT on Xmas Eve :)

We all argue on holiday, I think. Or maybe that's just me and DH!! ;)

Nat, great day.

Im always a bit down on my last full day and if Vicki and I are going to have a falling out, the end of the holiday is always the time it will happen, just one of those things.
