Tuesday 4th October
We originally had an ADR for Donald’s Breakfastsaurus this morning as well as one tonight at the contemporary but I cancelled Donald’s because we were getting up too late.
It was raining when we woke up so we had a small breakfast at pop and eventually got to AK at 10.30am. It was still raining when we got there so we decided to buy the lovely fashion attire known as the plastic poncho
Having spent $25 on the ponchos it promptly stopped raining 5 minutes later!
Our 1st stop was camp Minnie Mickey, we got some lovely photos and sat down to watch Pocahontas, dd really enjoyed this.
We also saw its tough to be a bug again before heading over to kali river rapids. The standby line was almost non-existent so we rode that twice
At 1pm we found ourselves outside Pizzafari so we stopped for lunch (yuck) the lines were huge and the pizza was vile so we won’t bother again!
After lunch we rode dinosaur again (twice) and got a great ride photo, we tried to watch the flights of wonder show but just as it started the rain came down again so we missed out on that.
We left the animal kingdom at 4.30pm to head to the magic kingdom via the TTC as we were hoping to get up front on the monorail, it was already in use though so we missed out on that.
We arrived at the Contemporary and I checked in at the podium, as I wanted to request that we were not seated near Chef Mickey’s. I had booked breakfast there on our last day and didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
We had a good table and we kept the kids amused by having a game of guessing the colour of the monorail (I believe I was declared the winner!)
We were often asked before we ordered if we were on the dining plan but this was the only time that we were encouraged to order the expensive items, I ordered a smoothie to drink and as dh had ordered a beer the cm got him to order a smoothie as well for me to drink
The children’s menu had three courses as well so they both had salad, child’s steak and brownie sundae (that info is for you Joh
)
I had the onion soup for appetizer and DH had the salad. We both had steak for entrée (what else) and for dessert I had this gorgeous cheesecake
Dh had a chocolate dessert.
im sorry to say I didn’t note the total bill but we defiantly got value for money off the dining plan here.
Our top three restaurants on the trip (in no particular order) were now:
Concourse Steakhouse
Le Cellier
Wolfgang pucks.
We got back to pop at 9pm and did a bit of tidying up in the room before bed.
Last full day tomorrow - Magic kingdom and LTT.
