Longest you've ever waited in line?

An hour for BTMRR in 1992. Even though I've been to WDW yearly since then, I never rode BTMRR again until the implementation of FP. No more 1 hour waits for me!

90 minutes for Peter Pan in April 2002. My husband and I both say it was not worth the 90 minute wait.

i remember when I was 8 years old on my first trip to WDW, we waited almost 90 minutes to ride BTMRR and I was literally sitting in the seat on the ride and it went down. I cried! I was so upset

Well, wait we did! And to make it even more fun, someone threw-up in line, so everyone was having to jump over it, or carry their kids over it. It was nice. I REALLY felt bad for the parent of THAT kid! (assuming it was a kid)

I'm sure there are always flukey things happening with the transportation, but it was very unfortunate timing. My dh and I are Disney freaks, so we knew this wasn't SOP, but we had brought a friend of mine and her son along on this trip and had bragged for months about how wonderful Disney was. This was our first day at the parks and we had had a wonderful evening and really enjoyed Wishes, but by the time we got back to our room at almost midnight (park closing at 9pm), that was all forgotten and her only comment, was "well, NOTHING is worth having to wait for that long to get home!" And I have to agree. Her son, 7, who has Down Syndrome, had a melt down on the bus, and my dd, 2 had a melt down when we got back to the room. It was awful! It definitely took the magic out of that first night. I felt like my friend was wondering what she had gotten herself into. Fortunately, my friend is the best in the world and had such a good attitude about the whole thing. I felt awful though.

First time to the AK, shortly after it opened, we were in line for the Safari for over an hour. They said one of the trucks had a flat, and it took them awhile to get it fixed.

We were under one of the televisions that kept repeating the poachers spiel, over and over and over... UGH!

we waited 65 minutes! It was way too long, and I am not that crazy about the ride, while my family loves it, andI think it is just because of that first wait.

That was before Fast Pass and before we knew what we were doing! I'd not wait that long again.

First ever trip to WDW last October, on our 2nd day I found out that Tower of Terror was closing down for rehab for the duration of our trip. All the fastpasses were gone, so we had no choice, we had to wait 2 1/2 hours. I must say, its a great ride, even better than the one we got this year at Disneyland.

Oh, and longest non-Disney wait was 3 hours at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles for X. Now that's an awesome ride, you flip head over heals while the coaster goes along the track. Hard to explain, but fun to ride.

When I was growing up in the late 70's & early 80's, we routinely waited 2 to 2 1/2 for every ride at MK, which we then called WDW. It's funny that people, including me, complain about the lines now, but had no problem waiting in them then, even in July.

I held our seats on the balcony of the Train Station for 3 hours to watch Spectromagic...

It was worth every minute!

We were in the 2nd row...a group from the UK got the first row by being there a hour before us!!!

Last Christmas season at Epcot we waited for just over two hours to ride Mission:Space. The wait said 65 minutes when we got in line --FP gone, TT even longer wait. And then the CMs kept opening up the queue and the wait got longer and longer. Bet you didn't know there was an outside garden you can even wait in! But the next day we waited only 15 minutes when we arrived for the 8am opening.

2 hours: Batman roller coaster @ Six Flags Atlanta-1996. Never again. DW was so mad (she waited on DD, DS and me).....I'm glad it was near closing!! Now, anything over 30 minutes is usally passed by and done later (or not). Thank Disney for FastPasses!

Here's the topper: 6 months to ride Big Bad Wolf @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg!! October, 2003, 11:00am.....hurricane went thru one week prior to our visit. DD, DS and I were in line for 30 minutes, literally at the gate waiting to board the next train when the power went off and did not come back on that day. At 6:00 pm the park closed and we were all given complimentary passes.....went back in April, 2004 and rode BBW and all the rest of the great coasters there!!

BGWilliamsburg: the only park that is even close to WDW in beauty and cleanliness.

we did not stand in them but we saw wait times of 4-5 hours for Mission Space and 3-4 hours for Test Track. This was between Christmas and New Years last year. MK wait times were bad too. 45 min for IASW, 3-4 hours for the mountains, more than an hour for Jungle Cruise, 1½ for Magic Carpets of Aladdin. We didn't do any of those times though. Too long, especially with a toddler and a preschooler!

I believe that the longest I ever waited in line was about 90 minutes -- I think the ride was ToT.

2 hours for test track. Only because it had rained, and they closed down the ride until they could dry the track. They said we could leave the line, because the ride was closed, but we were not budging (this was when it first opened, before fastpass exsisted)

Easter week 1990. My high school band took a trip to WDW. We waited 2 1/2 hours for Space Mountain. Later that day we went back and waited close to 2 hours to do it again!!!

My group of girls wanted to get in line after lunch, because it was air-conditioned and they didn't want to do anything else.

I refused!

This sounds like an awful situation for you all to be in, particularly for your friend and her son on their first visit and for your little girl. I have two young children, so I can sympathise with your plight. I meant no offence but failed to see the connection between this problem and staying at a 'value' resort.
Hope all your future Disney experiences are memorable for nicer reasons.

On our first trip in 1992, we waited in line for and hour and a half (in the broiling sun) for Dumbo. This was before the cue was covered. My oldest DS was 2 and although the wait was long and hot, the look on his face when he finally got to ride was priceless. He's nearly 15 now and we probably won't stand in line for Dumbo this trip! Sniff!
