We just added on some nights to our first trip since buying into the DVC. Our August trip will now be 13 nights in Disney and 2 in Universal. My previous record was 10.

What about you? What's the record?

Our most recent trip 11/21-12/1/2008. One night at PORS and 9 nights at SSR 2 bedroom in Congress Park:santa:

Hi,

DH & I spent three glorious weeks during F & W three years ago at SSR, our DVC home resort.

Past two years, we have spent a week at SSR, then a 7 night Disney cruise, then return to SSR for another seven nights in a one-bedroom. Heaven!

We come from the Arctic in Northernmost Canada , so we stay for a long time each time. BTW, it is -34c here tonight and dropping.....brrrrrr!

Thank god for DVC!

We're about to go for 12 nights - that's our record! Will we survive? :confused3

We did stay in Orlando for 2 weeks before, but only 1 week was at Disney.

That sounds awesome - there's nothing like surf-n-turf! We live "up north" too - in Michigan - and our trip lengths have been gradually increasing every year. For 2009 we are going for 12 nights (in 2008 it was 10). We wanted to do 2 weeks at Disney and 1 week on a cruise too but couldn't pull it off this coming year. Here's to 3 weeks in 2010!

Our record is 13 nights and we LOVE IT!!!

Last Sep-Oct we were in town for 26 days, 7 offsite and 19 at Disney. Of course our trip turned into a medical rehab adventure so it was not your traditional vacation.

We've done 9-12 days before. Best thing about a long stay is that you get to really enjoy the resorts side of WDW. Activities in the Community Halls, restaurants, hotel gift shops, the portrait artists and meeting the staff when they aren't incredibly busy. The parks become a fun distraction, like heading to the mall on Black Friday just to enjoy watching the busy shoppers. (All the while knowing you can do the bulk of your discount Christmas shopping online in your PJs later and pay no sales tax or shipping.) No stress and lots of perspective.

Brogan, my thoughts exactly. I don't like going to Disney for a short stay, as I feel that I have to be productive 24 hours per day. When we went on our honeymoon, which I think was 10 days, there were times that we were actually bored, in a good way. We'd just wander about, checking out things that we normally would have breezed past.

During my next trip, I hope to take a lot of photos that I can contribute to the photography board here. In fact, my nine year old son, who will be ten at the time, wants to grab a camera and join me for some Disney sightseeing. I don't think that I would be as willing to spend so much time wandering around with a camera if I weren't staying for so long.

The longest we have gone pre-DVC was 15 nights. Now we are working on about that this summer, thanks to DP's. I love our longer trips. They are a different experience. We walk slower and get to take more in. Now that we own at DVC I am hoping our commando days are over.

Our usual is 7-10 nights, but we have taken to doing 12 lately.

Most times its 8 days but a few years ago we did 10...... that was 355 days shorter than I would have liked..:rotfl2:

Longest was last May at 15 nights at AKV, but did 14 nights in 2005 (at the YC) and will be doing 14 in February (split stay 7 nights SSR and 7 nights BWI).

Claire ;)

I think that 10 nights is our longest.

That really pushes our tolerance levels, as well. ;)

We went on our first trip in 06 for 7 nights 8 days. We thought that was a long time until we realized how much there was to see and do. So, it was a pretty packed week.

We are going in September for 10 nights and we are really looking forward to having the PAP and being able to soak it in. We have APs to DLR and I love going and not feeling rushed. You start to notice all the little details more, and it feels more like your part of something rather than experianceing something.

By the way northerners, it is mid 60's here in CA (the OC) and we are freezing.... how pathetic is that!! I am wearing a sweater today!!!!! (with my shorts)...

We did our longest stay this past July. We stayed at OKW for 8 nights followed by 6 at BCV. It was WONDERFUL.

13 nights/14 days. We've done that for the last two trips, and we've scheduled the same for our next one. It works out well for us.

Our longest so far has been 19 nights. It felt even longer because we flew in at 7am and flew out at 9pm!! wonderful!! We did--6 nights AKV Savannah view, 5 nights BCV, and 8 nights OKW. Was great. Had a lot of down time...watched movies in room...swam...HEAVEN!! This upcoming summer we are there for 15 nights....and this Feb for 8 nights

Our longest WDW was 26 nights. 13 nights at BCV and 13 at SSR in June 2005 all in a studio. Our last day we did not want to leave, so called MS and stayed another night:goodvibes

Longest DCL was 15 nights in a Cat 10.
