Longest time you worked for

I've worked for only one company full time - 8 years total. 2 years then left to finish school, and now I've been back a little over 6 years.

19 years in august and still here Trying to set myself up so that if the small company I work for ever closes I don't have to go back to work. We are trying to pay off the house and fully fund retirement accounts, college accounts and some other "savings" type accounts so hopefully, I never have to look for another job once this one is no more.

The longest I've been with the same place is 9 years. Its been my own business though for 7 years of that. DH was with the same company for 23 years before it went into administration early this year. Luckily he was able to find a new job in a few days but it was difficult for him to have to interview again.

26 years, ended with a medical retirement from the military. Civilian side, I think 5 or 6 years.
