Longest time you worked for

Launched my own company on Monday, January 6th, 2003... over 8 years ago now. I did work for other people on the side, but it was a maximum for 6-7 months total, mostly on internships.

Started in '83 at age 18 and worked there for 11 years.

Had a baby and opened my own shop and have had it for 17 years this June.

I have clients that I've been cutting their hair for 28 years this June. :) I have a few I have had since I was 15, in beauty school.

I'd like to do something else when DD graduates HS but we'll see if I could actually give it up.

I think my longest stretch was 4 years. My husband was active duty military for 21 years, so we moved every 3-4 years.

He retired in late 2007 and we moved here to Florida.

I've been with my current employer three and a half years, but will leave soon when my nurse practitioner program clinicals start. I won't work at the same company when I finish school.

I've rolled over 401Ks and 403bs MANY times over to my Fidelity Roth IRA. LMAO

I'm surprised they don't send me notes that say "Again?"!!!:rotfl2:

Dart Container Corp. in Mason, MI hired me and moved me to Michigan in 1987. I worked there until June 2001. If you ever get a hot or cold beverage in a "foam" cup with a lid on it from Dart, chances are I designed the lid. I was proud of my design work but Dart has extremely poor management practices and I quit my job there. They still profit off my expertise but I am much better off now.

Just shy by two days of 7 1/2 years. I didn't want to leave but had to find another job b/c the office I was in was closing and there wasn't another office close by to go to :(

I still miss the job and my former co-workers but the company itself has changed too much and is nothing like it was when I first joined.

16 1/2 years. I have been in the same department but with 3 different companies through buyouts and mergers.

Five years! I work as a childcare provider at my church. I love it. I love being there so long because I'm watching all these kids I care for grow up. My dh was military so we moved every three years or so. He's retired now, so we are really enjoying the novelty if longevity. Being in one house, being in the same church, job longevity. It's this awesome blessing that we'll never take for granted.

32 years - I only worked for one company my entire working life. I've been "retired" for 4 years now.

Mine was 7 years active duty Army and 7 years as a social worker for the American Red Cross, both seemed like a lifetime of servitude!!
