Longest Countdown Clock Club!

I finally got around to doing my countdown clock - I'll be happy when I get in the 300s!!:earsgirl:

I wish mine wasn't so big, but I can't say that I didn't have enough time to plan. I'm already going to open up a seperate CD account to start saving. We're flying next time (March 2008), so that will be a new experience (one I'm dreading).

I'm a stay-at-home mom and it's hard for us to go every year, especially when I like to go for 2 weeks at a time. One week isn't long enough for me. With my husbands job in auto body, it's hard for him to take off for two weeks in a row as well. At least now, they'll have plenty of notice.

My DD's first trip and DH's as well, was last year and we stayed offsite for 2 weeks with 10 other family members. I think it will be better to stay onsite, which I never did as a child either. Can't wait for that onsite experience...

I want our next trip to be the best ever. My DD will remember this one more since she'll be 8 and I think that will be a good age so she can ride everything. She's not afraid of anything either, so we should surely have fun.

We'll be staying for 14 nights, ONSITE at Pop Century. I hope it's as magical as everyone says.

Maybe once I start my career, we can afford to go every other year after that trip.

Every 2 years...we just went in March. Would anyone like to critique my next itinerary??;) (Never too early to start planning!)

We're not going til June 2005, when my now 9 week old twins will be around 15 months. My 5 year old (who has already been three times) is already asking when we'll be taking his baby brothers. He's a boy after my heart...:earsboy:

...but they say that the best way to get over returning home from a Disney trip is to plan another, so here we come on April 29, 2006!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

WOW!!!

And I thought mine was bad!!! At least I'm under 200 now!

Good luck to all of you. Waiting is the worst!

I was planning on going down this October, but due to some unexpected events, I've had to move it out to next May.

Oh well. At least I can see the Flower & Garden show and some of the new attractions should be open.

Add me to the list! We went in January, and had planned to go again in Oct. for MNSSHP. However, in Feb. my husband unexpectedly quit his job, and his new job does not give vacation time in the first year. He started the new job in April, so we've decided to go in May of next year (after all the Spring Breaks and before schools let out for summer). I was really looking forward to an October trip, and a year seems so long to wait! Especially after all the stress we were under about his job situation, I could really use some time in my "happy place". Oh well, on the bright side, we'll be there in time for all the events celebrating Disneyland's 50th anniversary!:earsgirl:

I am joining now! I just returned last week from WDW, and am planning my next trip, which it looks like won't be until October 2006. So, I still have a ways to go until my next trip, so I am joining the club.

BOO HOO, We just got back a month ago, and I want to go again right now. I'm 11 months away from our next family trip, I do enjoy planning though, but its not the same as being there.

2005 April POLY
2004 May WL
2003 May CSR

Oh, Can I join? I haven't set it for definate yet but I know it's more than a year away right now!

I think I'll fit right in here!

I hated adding a countdown clock for this long, but it will be such a treat when it gets down there. It started out at 1376 days. After this trip, I plan to go back every 2-3 years. I will have my career back. Right now we live on one income and learned to adjust. When I go back to work, it will seem like a BONUS for us. I want to keep the same budget as I do now and keep my money for FUN things. Hope I can do it.

Boy, my ING account better look pretty good till then.

I'll definately post a thread when I get to do a single digit dance. Seems like forever...

I got my Mickey Luggage, Disney Fund set-up, and picked a resort. Can you tell I'm getting TOO anxious???

Last year was my first trip in like 15 years. We went with 10 other family members. Some of whom went to a park and moaned and groaned the whole time (didn't want to arrive too early, didn't want to stay late, didn't want to tour countries at Epcot, etc...). I paid good money for the parks and I want to enjoy it. NEVER AGAIN with that many family members. NEVER AGAIN.

Can't wait for this trip. It will be myself, DH and DD and staying ONSITE. I know time flies, but this length of time will be a miracle when it gets here.

Count me in for my long count down clock. I haven't looked at it for a couple threads so.......

We have a couple other family vacations to plan before we can go back to see the Mouse, family reunion in MT, a family trip to NC.

I also have my Disney fund set up, and am busy doing surveys, and other reward sites to boost up that account. Who knows, if there's a sudden windfall, I get a higher paying PT job, I may slip another trip in before 2007!!!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck!

We have been planning our 20th anniversary cruise informally for over 2 years. We booked in April. Our Anniv is Jan 3 2006 (we are doing the 7 day land/sea). We will be on the ship for New Years!!

We just need to decide if we want to add a few more days at the front. DD will have just turned 10 so we think we can be away from the house on Christmas Day.

Fellow esteemed Disneyaholics and impatient travelers,

It is with much regret (ok, maybe not "much" regret, maybe just "a little" regret) that I must resign as President of our little club.

In order that you hear it from me and not through rumor or gossip elsewhere on the board, I no linger qualify as a member of this organization as we have moved our trip up to November.

We had made reservations for next April, but then when the 2005 rates came out our dates were smack dab in the middle of PEAK season. Not very good planning. :confused3

Anyway, my wonderful, thoughful, caring, sensitive DH (or as he affectionately refers to himself - "worn down") agreed that we could go in November instead! I was able to get the 7 for 5 deal and add on another day, so watch out World, here we come!

With a whooping 1364 days until her trip, I would like to nominate etwinchester to continue on my courageous and undaunting leadership.

I will miss you all and think about you for a minute or two while we are there. Maybe my Mickey ice cream ears from KevinFSU will still be good... :mickeybar

Aloha,

MsSpinShady princess:

P.S. Yes KevinFSU, I AM the real SpinShady :smooth:
