Longer stay VS Better Resort

Are there other factors involved?

Such as is $$ a concern at all..not only in the cost of resort room rate (regardless of better or not better resort) but also things like added cost for park tickets if you'll use the extra time for that, airfare if flying, rental car expense and gas, vacation time spent, things like pet sitting or whatnot for at home, etc..and will those be less or more than the cost of upgrading the resort room if you chose a shorter vacation.

As others have noted what's the vacation going to be like and what are your preferences as in what a given resort has to offer that you like?

FWIW I would prefer a longer stay on vacations in general but my max to be actually gone is 9-10 days and we usually try to utitlize the weekends on both ends so we only take 5 days off of vacation (if 10 days then usually the friday is taken off as well).

if it's all onsite choices..... longer stay no question- I can visit any resort I want for dinner.... offsite I have no idea.
